The admission to the Institute of Home Economics starts after the declaration of CUET results. The IHE UG and PG programs are designed for the development of professional skills in Home Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Journalism, Education etc. Candidates who have passed their Class 12 exams with prescribed combinations as per the course requirements can apply for undergraduate courses. Admission is purely based on CUET PG scores for postgraduate courses and applicants have the same requirement of a related bachelor’s degree. The procedure is online through the University of Delhi admission web portal. The applicant shall then fill in the right details, upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee. In addition to the regular courses, the institute also provides short-term certificate courses with diploma eligibility for the courses. IHE UG Admission 2025

UG programs conducted by the Institute of Home Economics include a B.Sc. (Honours) in Home Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Journalism and a B.A. (Honours) in Journalism as well as a B.El.Ed. The IHE follows the University of Delhi's centralized admission process for UG and PG programs through CUET:

Undergraduate Admission Process: The University of Delhi’s CSAS will be used for admission into the Institute of Home Economics, 2025, through online mode. It is necessary for the candidates looking for admission to undergraduate programs to first register and appear for the CUET exam. Once the results of the allotted test are declared, the CSAS registration on the DU portal is to be completed by the candidate, with IHE being indicated as one of the preferred colleges and the candidate awaits a slot based on the CUET score and category. 

Postgraduate Admission Process: Candidates for postgraduate courses should also appear for CUET-PG followed by the same process on the PG admission portal. All these things will be done through document verification, seat confirmation and fee payment will be handled digitally. 

Verification, Fee Payment, and Seat Confirmation: The date for verification and payment is specified, and it is only through the completion of which confirmation of provisional admission is carried out. Additionally, IHE also reserves seats under ECA, sports, and more categories as per DU norms.
