PSG College of Technology, commonly known as PSGC was established in 1951 as the first private Engineering Institution in Tamil Nadu by G.R. Damodaran. It is affiliated to Anna University and is located in Coimbatore. PSGCT is ranked 63rd position in the Engineering category & 89th in the Management category by NIRF 2023. Popularly, PSGCT offers courses in Science & Technology, Engineering, and Management. B.E. & B.Tech admissions are based on TNEA Counselling. Meanwhile, M.E, M.Tech, MBA, PGDM, and MCA are based on TANCET, followed by TANCA Counselling. GATE is also accepted for M.E. and M.Tech. PSG College of Technology Admission
Admissions are based on entrances and counselling conducted by Anna University or national-level exams. There are also merit-based admissions for specific courses based on previous exam scores. PSG College of Technology Placements 2020 has been concluded. Reputed recruiters like ACC Ltd, Accenture, Adobe Systems, Capgemini, Mahindra & Mahindra, etc visited the campus. A total of 1130 students were placed. Among them, 842 students were from Engineering & 194 students were from Management. The median CTC stood at INR 10.1 LPA.

The following facilities are available for both students and faculty at PSGCT:
- Library: There are over 2 lakh volumes in Science, Engineering, Management & Science. Also, an E-Library is available for journals and subscriptions. More than 15,000 journals from various publishers like ASME, ASCE, IEEE, ASTM, etc are available.
- Computer & Network: On campus, an internet connection with 1300 Mbps bandwidth is available. There are 4500 systems with 3500 LAN connections and 500 WAN connections. Imac machines are also available in the Media Laboratory.
- Sports Facilities: Both outdoor and indoor sports facilities are available. Including football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, and badminton, tennis courts and grounds are available, along with indoor table tennis and basketball courts.
- Extracurricular Activities: A wide variety of student clubs, as many as 20+ functions. Dramatics, Animal Welfare, Astronomy, Serious Quizzers, English Literary Society, Entrepreneur and Readers Club, etc., run at PSGCT for extracurricular activities.
