Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) provides various scholarships and endowment awards to help talented and underprivileged students fund their education. VIT Scholarships are awarded to eligible students in the form of waivers on tuition fees and monetary rewards. Under the GV School Development Programme (GVSDP), students at VIT can also receive scholarships depending on their ranking in the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE). Vellore Institute of Technology provides merit scholarships to top-performing students and those with strong academic abilities, as well as financial aid to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

VIT Vellore VITEEE Scholarship
Vellore Institute of Technology offers the VITEEE Scholarship which is given under the GV School Development Programme (GVSDP). Toppers of the Central/ State Board along with rank holders in the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) are given tuition fee waivers of up to 100% for up to four years. VIT Vellore STARS Scholarship
VIT awards a 100% tuition fee waiver to two toppers from government schools in rural areas of Tamil Nadu under the STARS Scheme (Support the Advancement of Rural Students). The fee waiver is offered for academic and hostel facilities including basic medical expenses. VIT STARS Scholarship is offered to one boy and a girl from rural Government Higher Secondary Schools in the different districts of Tamil Nadu.
Here are the eligibility criteria for the VIT STARS Scholarship:
- Students must have studied Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at the 10+2 Level.
- VIT STARS Scholarship is limited to one student in a family.
- The annual income of the family should be below INR 1,50,000.

VIT Vellore Scholarships: How To Apply?
Students with meritorious records in State/ Central Board Examinations or VITEEE Rank Holders need to submit the mark sheet or VITEEE Scorecard along with all the other relevant documents at the time of admission only. To apply for other scholarships, students need to check the official website of VIT or VTOP, a digital initiative of the institute to access and process academic and supporting services.
