Let’s look into how BHMS admissions are done in Maharashtra, as it is one of the leading states for AYUSH courses, including BHMS. Admissions to BHMS colleges in Maharashtra are conducted via Maharashtra NEET AYUSH Counselling, organized by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell).
BHMS admission in Maharashtra will be based on NEET UG score. The candidates will have to appear for the exam and should have secured a minimum valid score. After the CUET-UG results have been released the candidates will have to register to Maharashtra CET for AYUSH course admission. The steps are as follows:
Online Registration - The candidates will have to visit the official website of Maharastra CET and register for NEET-UG AYUSH counselling. It will include online registration, application form filling, payment of registration fees and uploading of documents.
Merit list - Maharashtra CET will release the state merit list among the registered candidates on its official website.
Choice Filling - The candidates will have to submit their college preferences, they can submit atleast 3 preferences.
Seat Allotment - The seat allocation will be released on the website and the candidates who have been allotted a seat will have to report to the respective institute for completion of admission formalities and document verification.
The choice filling and seat allotment will continue to happen until all the seats have been filled. This process will cover 85% of state quota seats and 15% of AIQ quota seats.
