What is M.Tech Control Systems?

M Tech Control Systems or Master of Technology in Control Systems, is a two-year post-graduate direction of engineering study centred on the specification, and direction of isolating systems in engineering. The overall goal of the program is the acquisition of professional knowledge on how to design, implement and optimize control systems to be used in such industries as manufacturing, energy, robotics, and aerospace.

The subjects studied in a degree course of M.Tech Control Systems consists of system modeling, advanced mathematics, control theory, digital signal processing, industrial automation, robotics, and real time embedded systems. The curriculum also focuses on laboratory work, simulative projects, and research so that the students could acquire theoretical and practical knowledge.

Few of the knowledge which a graduate will acquire are advanced problem solving, project management, technical documentation, team work, as well as mastering some programming tools e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, and PLC programming. An M.Tech in Control Systems prepares the graduate to work either as an individual or team member in an engineering consultancy, an R&D outfit, an automation company, and a large industry to fulfill the functional and regulatory control and automation specifications.

Why study M.Tech Control Systems?

The M.Tech Control Systems specialization equips the students with comprehensive technocratic skills and analytical skills and practical experience to undertake their professional work in the field of advanced processes of automation, control, and systems design.

  • The subjects include modeling the system, design or controller, simulation, and optimization, as well as introduction to industrial practices and new technologies that include IoT and smart automation.
  • This allows the graduates to become Control Systems Engineer, Automation Specialist, Robotics Engineers or Research Scientists, and to come up with fresh ideas on automation in industries, smart manufacturing and intelligent systems.
  • The program prepares critical thinkers, researcher aptitude and leadership which is diverse in the energy sector, automotive firms, aerospace industry, and defense industries.

Who should study M.Tech Control Systems?

M.Tech Control Systems seems to be a perfect fit to engineering graduates who want to learn about dynamic systems, automation, and their optimization.

  • The best candidates for the M Tech Control Systems program should be analytical, pay attention to details and well grounded in mathematics and engineering concepts.
  • The degree is particularly essential to individuals who are hoping to be employed in industries that are targeted at automation, robotics and intelligent systems.
  • The candidates should have prior knowledge in electrical, electronics, instrumentation or other related engineering disciplines.
  • The course is also appropriate to persons who find experiencing problem solving, programming and using advanced simulation tools interesting.

M.Tech Control Systems Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to take M Tech in Control Systems can be read below; to pursue the course, an applicant needs to fulfill the following:

  • The candidate should have cleared B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or allied fields with a minimum of 50 to 60 percent aggregate marks of a recognized university.
