AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality, Reservation

AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria includes that candidates must have completed their graduation or post-graduation from a recognised university with at least 55% marks. The minimum age to apply is 19 years. There is no upper age limit for AP EDCET 2026 Exam. Additionally, candidates must hold permanent domicile status in Andhra Pradesh. As per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974, 85% of the seats are reserved for local candidates. The remaining 15% of seats are open to all candidates.

AP EDCET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Education

Students willing to take the AP EDCET must meet the eligibility requirements. Eligibility criteria vary across exams. The education eligibility criteria for the AP EDCET 2026 exam are mentioned below.

• Candidates should have passed or are appearing for the final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.A.(O.L)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M./B.E /B.Tech. At the time of submitting the application form for AP EDCET 2026. Candidates are required to produce marks, memos, and pass certificates at the time of admission.
• Candidates should obtain at least 50% marks or equivalent in either a Bachelor’s degree, i.e., B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./ B.B.M/B.A(O.L) or in the Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subject or 5 5-year course in the relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification. However, candidates from all other reserved categories, including SC, ST, BC (A/B/C/D/E), and physically challenged candidates, should have scored at least 40% marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination.

AP EDCET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Age Limit

The candidates should have been at least 19 years of age on July 1st of the year in which the notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

AP EDECET provides special reservations to physically disabled candidates, as they only need to score 40% marks in the qualifying exam, which is a bachelor's degree.
