The Graduate Record Examination or GRE 2025 is a standardised test that is recognised worldwide for students who want to pursue postgraduate studies, like an MS or MBA, outside their home country. The Educational Testing Service administers this test. The GRE is a computer-based, multiple-choice test designed to measure critical thinking, problem-solving skills and analytical writing.
The test contains basic math, data analysis and interpretation, and advanced vocabulary common to any college student. ETS tests have two formats i) the General Test and ii) the Subject Test. The fee for an Indian test-taker depends on the candidate’s preference. The General Test is 1 hour and 58 minutes long. The Exam fee is INR 22,550. The Subject Test is 2 to 2.5 hours long and the test fee is INR 14,500.
