GRE Results 2027: How to Check, Validity, and Good Score

GRE result 2027 for the Quantitative and Verbal Ability sections will be displayed on the screen at the end of the test. The official result will be announced 8-10 days after the exam. The GRE result 2027 will be released on the respective ETS accounts. Candidates will be able to check their test scores by logging in to their GRE account.

The GRE result 2027 will be released once unofficially and then officially. The unofficial GRE test scores will be displayed on the screen after the test. The unofficial score will only be visible for the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning sections. Meanwhile, the official GRE result 2027 will be released around 8-10 days after the test date. GRE Score Range 2027

GRE result 2027 will be released separately for the 3 sections. There is no total score for GRE. The score is also considered section-wise by universities that accept GRE, not overall. GRE Score Calculation 2027

GRE scores are calculated by converting the raw scores into scaled scores. The process through which the GRE score is calculated includes:

• Step 1: The number of correct answers is counted in the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning sections to get the raw score.
• Step 2: Section-level adaptation is implemented, through which the difficulty level of the second section depends on performance in the first section. For instance, if the performance is good, the difficulty level will be increased and vice versa.
• Step 3: Using the equating process, the raw score is converted into scaled score. This process accounts for the different difficulty levels to obtain a fair score.
• Step 4: The scores for the Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning sections are reported on a 130- 170 scale, in 1-point increments.
• Step 5: For Analytical Writing, the score is reported on a 0- 6 point scale, in 0.5 point increments. It is separate from the 340-point VR + QR score.
• The final GRE result shows the separate score for all 3 sections. The maximum score for QR and VR combined is 340.

GRE Score vs Percentile 2027

This table shows that candidates who score 170 in each section performed better than 99% of test takers in the Verbal Reasoning section and better than 91% in the Quantitative Reasoning section.

GRE Rechecking 2027

Candidates who are not satisfied with their score can apply for a recheck after the GRE result is released. However, the recheck option is only applicable for the analytical writing section. Candidates can apply for rechecking of the GRE Analytical Writing section within 90 days of the result announcement. The fee for GRE rechecking is INR 5,900. After evaluation, the GRE result for rechecking will be released within 4 weeks.
