Candidates receive their appointment details for GRE Exam 2026 after completing the registration and selecting a test date. The availability of dates and test centres depends on the slots available at the time of booking.

Candidates planning to take the GRE for university admissions should book the test early. This gives them more options when selecting the test date and centre. Candidates should first check the GRE Eligibility Criteria 2026 to understand the basic requirements before registering.

Details Mentioned in GRE Appointment Confirmation 2026

The GRE appointment confirmation 2026 contains the details candidates need before appearing for the test. These include:

• Candidate's name
• GRE test type
• Test date
• Test time
• Test centre address
• Appointment details
• Important test-day instructions

Candidates should check the information as soon as the test is booked. Any issue with the name, test date or other appointment details should be resolved with ETS before the exam. Understanding the GRE Exam Pattern 2026 helps candidates familiarise themselves with the sections, question types and time allotted.

GRE Admit Card for Test Centre 2026

Candidates appearing for the GRE at a test centre should check the centre details mentioned in their appointment confirmation. It is advisable to check the location in advance, particularly when the centre is in an unfamiliar area. On the exam day, candidates need to carry an acceptable ID as specified by ETS. The name on the ID should match the name provided during GRE registration. The appointment confirmation should also be kept handy so that the test details can be checked when required. Candidates can refer to the GRE Syllabus 2026 to identify the topics covered in Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing.

GRE ID Requirements 2026

A valid ID is an important requirement for GRE test-takers. The document should meet the identification rules specified by ETS. For candidates taking the GRE in India, the ID should be:

• Original and physical
• Valid and not expired
• Government-issued
• Carrying a recent and recognisable photograph
• Carrying the candidate's signature

The name on the ID should also match the name entered during GRE registration. Aadhaar Card is not accepted as a primary or supplemental ID for the GRE under the current ETS requirements. Photocopies and digital versions of IDs displayed on a mobile phone are also not accepted. After covering the syllabus, candidates can practise with GRE Question Papers to understand the types of questions asked.

GRE Admit Card for Home Test 2026

Candidates taking the GRE at Home do not need to visit a test centre, but they still have to complete the required identity verification process. ETS requires candidates to verify their identity before the test. This includes submitting the required identification and photograph through the specified verification process. Candidates should also check the technical and room requirements before the scheduled test. Completing these requirements in advance can help avoid problems on the test day. Candidates can check the available GRE Exam Centres and select a convenient test location while scheduling the exam.

What to Carry on GRE Exam Day 2026?

Candidates appearing at a test centre should carry an acceptable and valid ID that meets ETS requirements. The appointment confirmation should also be kept available for reference. Before leaving for the test centre, candidates should check:

• Test date
• Test time
• Test centre address
• ID requirements
• Test-day instructions

Candidates taking the GRE at Home should complete the required identity verification and make sure the computer, internet connection, and testing environment meet ETS requirements. Candidates can also attempt a GRE Mock Test to assess their preparation and practise time management.

What If There is a Mistake in GRE Admit Card 2026?

Any mistake in the appointment details should be reported to ETS as soon as it is noticed. Candidates should not wait until the test day to resolve an issue with the name, test date, test centre, or other registration information. This is particularly important for the name on the ID. A mismatch between the registration details and the ID can create problems during the check-in process.

Can GRE Appointment Be Rescheduled?

Yes, a GRE appointment can be rescheduled subject to ETS rules and the availability of test slots. A rescheduling fee may apply. Candidates who want to change their test date should check the applicable rules before making the change. The preferred date or test centre may not be available when the appointment is rescheduled.
