JENPAS UG Exam Pattern 2026 is set by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). Paper 1 is conducted for all courses other than the BHA, and Paper 2 is conducted only for the BHA program.

JENPAS UG Exam Pattern 2026: Marking Scheme
The exam conducting authority decides the marking scheme for the JENPAS UG 2026. The marking scheme involves both positive and negative marks, where a -0.25 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer in category 1. However, in category 2, there is no negative marking. Students can find out the marking scheme for category 1 and category 2 in the given sections:
Category 1
The marking scheme for category 1 is as follows:
- For each correct answer, students will be awarded a +1 mark.
- -0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- For any combination of more than one response, even if it contains the right answer, the particular answer will be treated as incorrect, and a -0.25 will be deducted.
- Unattempted questions will carry 0 marks.
Category 2
In category 2, there will be no negative marking. The complete marking scheme is provided below for students’ reference:
- 2 marks will be awarded for each of the correct answers.
- No marks will be deducted for any wrong/ incorrect answer.
- For partially correct answers, i.e., when all correct answers are not marked and also no incorrect answers are marked, students will be awarded marks in the following manner: 2x (no. of correct answers marked) / (total no. of actually correct answers)
- If students do not attempt any question, the marks awarded will be 0.

JENPAS UG Exam Pattern 2026: OMR Sheet Instructions
When appearing for the JENPAS 2026, it is important for students to understand the OMR sheet instructions minutely. Any kind of error in the OMR response sheets can lead to no evaluation of the answer sheet. Following are some of the instructions related to the JENPAS UG 2026 OMR sheets:
- Students must use a ballpoint pen (black/ blue ink) provided in the examination hall to mark their answers.
- Carefully fill in the entire circle of the chosen option of a particular question.
- Make sure not to spill the ink outside the circle. This will create difficulty in analysing the answers correctly.
- If students fill in any option incorrectly, this will result in a mark deduction.
