NIOS 12th Application Form 2026 process was started by the National Institute of Open Schooling for the April–May 2026 public examinations. Registered learners of the October–November 2025 session could pay the exam fee from January 13 to January 22, 2026, without a late fee. The fee payment was allowed from January 23 to January 27, 2026, with a late fee of INR 150 per subject, while learners could pay the fee with a consolidated late fee of INR 1600 per learner from January 28 to February 1, 2026.

Students enrolled in Stream 1 Block 1 for the March–April 2026 exam could submit the exam fee from November 21 to December 20, 2025, without a late fee through the official website nios.ac.in. Fee payment with a late fee of INR 150 per subject was allowed from December 21 to December 31, 2025, while the NIOS 12th admission form last date was January 10, 2026. The exam fee schedule for the September–October 2025 learners will be announced after the declaration of the October 2025 results.

NIOS Class 12 Admission Process 2026

The NIOS Class 12 Admission Process 2026 is conducted online through the official website nios.ac.in. Students who have passed Class 10 or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply for NIOS Senior Secondary admission. Applicants must fill out the online registration form, upload required documents, select subjects, and pay the admission fee within the given deadline. After successful registration, students receive confirmation from NIOS and can start preparing for the public examinations. They can later download their admit card, appear for the practical and theory exams, and check the result on the official NIOS website.

• Valid proof of residence (such as an Aadhaar Card with full address or a valid Passport)
• Address proof (such as Aadhaar Card, Water Bill, Electricity Bill, Voter ID, Ration Card, Indian Passport, Statement of Operational Bank Account, Appointment Letter from Employer on official letterhead, or a copy of permanent address proof along with a rented agreement if residing in a rented house)
• Class 8th marksheet (for secondary course) or Class 10th mark sheet (for senior secondary course)
• Social category/caste certificate (if the student belongs to SC/ST/OBC categories)
• Ex-serviceman certificate (for ex-servicemen candidates)

• Fail mark sheet from the previous board (mandatory for Transfer of Credit – TOC). If the TOC board is marked as (*Other), the result must be available on the concerned board's website or the learner must submit a result verification letter from the respective board as per NIOS guidelines.
