SNAP Cutoff 2025 at Symbiosis International University (SIU) will be released after the SNAP result 2025 is declared. SNAP 2025 Results are expected to be out in the first week of January 2026. The 16 SIU constituent institutes release the cutoff individually on their respective website. Students seeking MBA admission to the SIU institutes must meet the SNAP cutoffs to qualify for the next admission process, which includes a Group Exercise (GE) and a Personal Interaction (PI).

Based on last year’s trends, the SNAP cutoff for SIBM, Pune, in 2025 is expected to be around 98% to 99% for general category students. For reserved category candidates, the cutoff may vary between the 65th and the 70th percentile. Every year, the SNAP cutoffs vary based on different factors, like the difficulty level of the SNAP exam, the number of students appearing, and the availability of seats in the institute. This article presents a detailed analysis of the SNAP Exam 2025, including factors that determine the SNAP cutoff, the expected SNAP 2025 cutoff, and the counselling process.

SNAP Cutoffs 2025: Highlights

The SNAP Cutoff for 2025 is the minimum percentile that students must score to be shortlisted for MBA courses at the SIU institutes. Given below are some highlights of the SNAP cutoff 2025:

  • The SNAP cutoffs for 2025 at SIBM, Pune, may range from the 98th to the 99th percentile. Whereas the expected SNAP 2025 cutoffs for SCMHRD, Pune, and SIIB, Pune, can be as high as 97% and 94%, respectively.
  • Candidates who will meet the minimum cutoff percentile or above will be eligible to participate in the selection process.
  • The SNAP cutoffs 2025 will be available on the respective institute’s website after the SNAP result declaration.

Factors Determining SNAP Cutoff 2025

The SNAP cutoff 2025 will be released based on multiple factors, which will determine candidates’ admission into reputed SIU institutes. The factors are described below:

  • The difficulty level of the exam: It is one of the common factors that will strongly determine the SNAP cutoff for 2025. If the SNAP exam in 2025 is perceived as difficult, the cutoff percentile will likely decrease, increasing the chances of admission. On the other hand, if the exam is easier, the cutoff score will increase because more candidates will score higher.
  • Number of applicants: If the number of candidates appearing for SNAP 2025 is more as compared to the previous year, there are high chances that the cutoff percentage will increase. Similarly, the lower number of applicants will lead to a lower cutoff score.
  • Performance in the SNAP exam: Candidates’ performance in the SNAP exam plays a significant role in influencing the SNAP cutoffs. The more students perform well in the SNAP 2025 exam, the more likely they are to experience a higher cutoff score.
  • Availability of seats: The cutoff score also depends on the seat availability at the SIU institutes. Each institute has a fixed number of seats for MBA programs, which restricts the number of candidates from a large pool who can get admitted. Also, the cutoff percentile for institutes with higher seat intake will be higher than that of institutes with lower seat intake.
  • Reservation Policy: The reservation policy of SIU institutes allows students from reserved categories to take admission with a lower cutoff score. At the same time, the SNAP cutoffs for 2025 for general category students are likely to be higher.
  • Previous years’ cutoffs: Students can get a basic understanding of the SNAP cutoff for 2025 by looking at the cutoffs from previous years. They mostly remain stable; however, the percentile might fluctuate based on the factors mentioned above.
  • Institute-specific rules: Cutoffs sometimes vary due to the rules & policies set by the institutes themselves. For instance, the cutoff for SIBM, Pune, remains the highest due to its demand and reputation, whereas the SNAP cutoff for SIOM Nashik may have a lower cutoff percentile. Also, a few institutes give more weight to work experience and educational qualifications, which can adversely affect the final cutoff.
  • Normalisation of scores: If the difficulty level of the SNAP paper 2025 is perceived to be difficult, the scores are often normalised so that there is no unfair advantage to students who opt for multiple tests or a specific test. This normalisation process impacts the cutoff so that scores are adjusted to ensure fairness.

SNAP Cutoff 2025 (Expected)

The SNAP cutoff for 2025 is expected to range from 99% to 75%. The cutoff for SIBM, Pune, is likely to be the highest, around the 98th to 99th percentile, whereas the cutoff percentile for SIHS, Pune, can vary between 75% and 76%. The table shown below represents the expected SNAP cutoff for 2025:

Institutes Expected SNAP Cutoff 2025
SIBM, Pune 98-99%
SCMHRD, Pune 96-97%

SNAP 2025 Counselling

The SNAP 2025 counselling process begins immediately after the SNAP 2025 results are declared. Students must check the respective institute’s website for the SNAP 2025 cutoff percentile, which leads to the next admission process. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling based on their overall SNAP percentile. The SIU institutes conduct the counselling and calculate the cutoff percentile separately for each program.

The SNAP-qualified candidates will have to appear for counselling, which is divided into two parts: Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI). The details are highlighted below:

  • Group Exercise (GE): This section assesses students’ problem-solving skills along with teamwork ability. The GE holds 10% of weightage for the overall selection of candidates.
  • Personal Interaction (PI): The personal interaction round evaluates candidates’ communication skills, interaction ability, and their suitability for the program. The weightage of this section is nearly 40%.

*Students who can meet all the components of GE-PI rounds will be considered eligible for the merit list, wait list, or reject list. If any student remains absent during any element of the selection process, they will not be able to participate in the next round of admission and will be considered ineligible for the respective program.

Given below is the table containing the parameters based on which the merit list is released:

SNAP Score (Out of 60, scaled down to 50 marks) Group Exercise (GE) Personal Interaction (PI) Total
50 10 40 100

Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list will receive an admission offer from the respective SIU institute. The category-wise cutoff for the merit list will be displayed on the institute’s official website. After accepting the offer, students must complete the document verification round and pay the fee to secure their seats. However, please note that SIU institutes do not follow any centralised counselling process. Each institute has its way of selecting candidates based on their overall performance in the SNAP exam.
