TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 will be released by Anna University with the TANCET 2026 information brochure on its official website. Candidates can check out the information brochure for detailed TANCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria for M.B.A., M.C.A., and M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Programs. TANCET exam is a state-level PG examination which is conducted by the Anna University under the Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to be eligible to appear in the TANCET exam. Qualifying candidates of the TANCET exam can get admission in the MBA / MCA / M.Tech/ M.E. programs in different colleges in Tamil Nadu.
TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Overview
Candidates must meet the TANCET eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. Not meeting the eligibility criteria will result in rejection of the TANCET Application Form. If candidates have their B.E./B.Tech. Degrees from Distance/ weekend mode programmes are not eligible for the TANCET 2026 exam. Candidates with bachelor's degrees without studying Class 10 & 12 / 3-year diplomas are also not eligible to apply for the exam. TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2026: General
Candidates are required to meet the TANCET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the TANCET exam. The TANCET 2026 application process is expected to begin in January 2026. Therefore, candidates should check if they meet the eligibility requirements for appearing in the TANCET Exam 2026. - For the TANCET MBA program, applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree (3 years) in any relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category) from a recognised university.
- For the TANCET MCA program, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, BSc (IT/CS or equivalent) OR any other bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years) with Mathematics at 10+2 or Graduation level with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) from a recognised university.
- For TANCET M.E./M.Tech program, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category) from a recognised university.
