Factors Determining the TANCET Cutoff

- Reservation Criteria - Candidates from the general category generally face higher cut-off marks in comparison to the cut-offs required by candidates belonging to the reserved categories, that is, ST, OBC, and SC. Whenever the number of candidates exceeds the number of available seats, a rise in cut-off marks for all categories is expected and vice versa when the scenario is opposite.
- Number of Seats Available - The number of available seats has a significant impact on the cut-off scores. The cut-off scores are likely to be much higher if the candidates appearing for TANCET exams outnumber the seats available. The cut-off scores are likely to be lower if relatively fewer candidates appear compared to the available seats.
