IMU CET Eligibility Criteria is expected to be released by the Indian Maritime University along with the official notification PDF. Candidates who meet the IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 become eligible for the common entrance test as well as subsequent admission procedures. In case it is found that any of the candidates has given wrong information regarding their suitability for the IMU CET, their application will be ineligible for the selection. Only the candidates who fulfill all the eligibility requirements and fill in the IMU CET application form within the specified timeframe will be allowed to appear in the IMU CET 2026 for getting admission in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research courses at IMU campuses and its affiliated institutions. IMU CET Detailed Eligibility Criteria 2026 

Indian Maritime University (IMU) conducts the IMU CET 2026 for Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the maritime field. Candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements based on the course they apply for. The criteria include age limits, educational qualifications, minimum marks, and medical fitness. For B.Tech and B.Sc. programs, candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12. BBA applicants can be from any stream. IMU CET Eligibility for 4-Year B.Tech (Marine Engineering) – Residential

To join the 4-year B.Tech (Marine Engineering) program at IMU, candidates must be unmarried, have 10+2 with 60% in PCM and 50% in English, meet age limits based on category, and be medically fit, including eyesight and hearing, as per Merchant Shipping standards. A medical certificate is required at admission.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 4-Year B.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) – Residential

To join the 4-year B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at IMU, candidates must have 10+2 with 60% in PCM and 50% in English, meet age limits by category, and obtain a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at admission. SC/ST candidates get 5% PCM relaxation.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 4-Year B.Tech (Naval Architecture and Ship Building) – Residential

Candidates for the 4-year B.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ship Building must have 10+2 with 60% in PCM, 50% in English, meet age limits by category, and provide a physical fitness certificate. SC/ST candidates get 5% PCM relaxation.

IMU CET 2026 Eligibility for 3-Year B.Sc. (Nautical Science) – Residential

Candidates for the 3-year B.Sc. in Nautical Science must have 10+2 with 60% in PCM, 50% in English, meet age limits by category, be unmarried, and medically fit with approved eyesight and hearing standards. SC/ST candidates get PCM relaxation.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 1-Year DNS course leading to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science) – Residential

The 1-year DNS course (leading to B.Sc. Applied Nautical Science) requires candidates to have 10+2 with 60% in PCM or a relevant B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech degree with minimum 50% in English. Candidates must meet age limits, be unmarried, and medically fit with approved eyesight and hearing standards. Note: Transgender candidates are eligible for B.Tech. (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) and B.Tech. (Naval Architecture & Ship Building) if they meet the required eligibility criteria.

The 2-year M.Tech in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering requires a relevant engineering degree with 55% marks. There is no age limit, and SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation. Candidates must submit a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 2-Year M.Tech (Dredging and Harbour Engineering) – Non-Residential

The 2-year M.Tech in Dredging and Harbour Engineering requires a relevant engineering degree with 55% marks. There is no age limit, SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation, and candidates must provide a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 2-Year M.Tech (Marine Technology) – Non-Residential

The 2-year M.Tech in Marine Technology requires a BE/BTech in relevant engineering with 55% marks or equivalent qualifications. There is no age limit, SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation, and a physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner is required.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 2-Year MBA (International Transportation and Logistics Management) – Non-Residential

The 2-year MBA in International Transportation & Logistics Management requires a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate and English proficiency. There is no age limit, SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation in marks, and a medical fitness certificate is mandatory.

 

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026 for 2-Year MBA (Port & Shipping Management) – Non-Residential

The 2-year MBA in Port & Shipping Management requires a bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate and English proficiency. There is no age limit, SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation in marks, and a medical fitness certificate is mandatory.
