UPESEAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Candidates

Eligibility criteria for UPESEAT include fulfilling specific eligibility criteria to apply for the UPESEAT 2026 examination. These criteria are designed to ensure the screening of academically fit students as per the eligibility criteria set by UPES. Here is an abridged version:

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants should have cleared Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board. Students who are presently writing the Class 12 exams can also apply.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000.
  • Nationality: Both Indian and foreign candidates are eligible to apply for the UPESEAT 2026 exam.
  • Subjects Aggregate Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Class 12th board tests.
  • Board Merit Pathway: Open to students with 80% or more in Class 10 and 12
  • JEE Main Pathway: Applicants who have appeared in JEE Main and have an eligible score are exempted from UPESEAT and are advised to refer to the admissions information for details on eligibility for admission through their JEE Main Score.
