About BS in Computer Science

The BS in Computer Science is a four-year undergraduate programme. It includes two years of on-campus learning, followed by one year of industry-focused training and one year of apprenticeship. The programme is expected to begin in July 2026 (tentatively).

Under the UGC-AEDP framework, up to 40% of the curriculum will be delivered by industry experts. Students will learn through AI-driven applied labs, live projects, internships, bootcamps, programming challenges, and hackathons. They will also receive guidance from industry mentors.

The programme offers specializations in emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Computing. Students will get up to two years of real-world industry exposure before completing their degree.

BS in Computer Science Eligibility and Admission 2026

To apply for BS in Computer Science, candidates must have:

  • 10+2 or Intermediate qualification from any State or Central Board with at least 50% marks
  • A valid score or rank in TS-EAPCET / AP-EAMCET / JEE Main / NEET / CLAT / IPMAT / UGAT or any equivalent State-level entrance exam
  • Mandatory clearance of the VVISM-TalentSprint Joint Entrance Examination

Industry Partnership

The BS in Computer Science is designed to address the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. It follows a model where students learn and work at the same time, instead of studying first and working later.

Dr. M. R. S. Surya Narayana Reddy, Director - Admissions, VVISM, has stated that the AEDP model will integrate academic learning with applied labs, mentorship, and industry exposure. He added that the programme aligns with the government’s focus on skilling, internships, and apprenticeships, especially in emerging technology areas like AI and cloud computing.
