Founded in 1999, the Biju Patnaik Institute of Information Technology and Management Studies (BIITM), Bhubaneswar, is approved by the AICTE and affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. The institute offers an MBA (Full-time), an MBA (Integrated), and an MBA for Working Professionals. The fees of the flagship MBA (Full-time) programme are INR 3,06,000 for a 2-year duration. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Admission for all courses will be based on OJEE / CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA scores, followed by counselling. In 2023, the SC category closing cutoff for the MBA was 7,120, and for the ST category, it was 5,704. In placements for 2025, the highest package offered was INR 16.42 LPA, while the median package was INR 4.50 LPA. A total of 137 companies participated in the campus placement process, resulting in 398 offers to date.

CAT 2025 registration started on 1 August, 2025, (10:00 AM), and the window will remain open until 13 September, 2025, (till 5:00 PM). Candidates will be able to download their admit cards between 5 November and 30 November, 2025. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on 30 November 2025. The results are expected to be declared in the first week of January 2026. The CAT registration fee has been increased to INR 2,600 for General category candidates and INR 1,300 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

XAT 2026 application form was released on 10 July, 2025. XAT 2026 exam is scheduled on 4 January 2026. Eligible candidates can register themselves via online mode, as there is no offline method provided. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, at the University Level. XLRI Jamshedpur organises XAT exam once in every year via online (CBT) mode.

Engineering, technology, or pharmacy graduates with a duration of four years or more, as well as final-year students, are eligible to apply. Admission is based on ranks or marks secured in OJEE, CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT or ATMA, for a total fee of INR 3,06,000. The MBA (Integrated) program is open to students who have passed class 10+2 and is offered on a merit basis. At the same time, the MBA for Working Professionals is available to graduates with at least one year of work experience. How to Register:

• Registration is online only via the official CAT portal.
• A valid and unique email ID and mobile number are mandatory to begin the registration process.
• Upon registration, candidates will receive a User ID and Password to log in and complete the application form.

Important Guidelines:

• Candidates can fill the form in multiple sessions — progress will be saved automatically.
• Double-check all details before paying the application fee, as no edits will be allowed after payment.
• Incomplete or incorrect information may lead to immediate rejection of the application.
• SC/ST/PwD candidates must upload valid category certificates during registration. Category changes are not allowed post-registration.
• A correction window will be provided after registration closes, but only for limited time.

XAT 2026 Registration

• XLRI Jamshedpur has released the XAT 2026 application form on July 10, 2025. The registration can be completed only through online mode—no offline option is available.
• To begin, candidates must first create XAT login credentials. The registration process is divided into three stages. Once logged in, applicants should fill in the form with personal, contact, and academic details.
• Candidates must upload correct documents, including a recent photograph and signature, to avoid form rejection.
• In case of errors, a correction window will be provided for making necessary changes.as there is no offline method provided. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by XLRI,
• The last date to submit the XAT 2026 application form is likely December 5, 2025. After submission, it is advised to download and keep a printout of the form for future reference during the admission process.

The cutoff data for 2025 is not yet available. In 2023, the Home State quota SC category cut-off indicated that MBA, MBA Business Analytics, and MBA Integrated Course all had a closing rank of 7120. This was a slight increment from the 2022 cut-off of 7616 for MBA. In the ST category, the 2023 cut-off was 5704 for all three courses of the MBA, a significant improvement from 7387 in 2022. In the EWS category, the 2023 cut-off for all MBA courses was 6841, an improvement from 6183 in 2022. In the TFWS category, the cut-off rank was significantly improved to 103 in 2023 from 805 in 2022 for all three MBA courses. For the General category, the cut-off last observed was 3995 in 2022.
