At Birla Institute of Technology (BIT Mesra), we recognise the importance of financial aid in supporting our students' educational ambitions. Therefore, we offer a variety of scholarships to our students, based on their academic performance and specific needs. We provide an impressive total of nearly 2.5 crores in scholarships for students admitted to the B.Tech and B.Arch programs. Furthermore, we offer financial aid to candidates from the reserved categories (SC, ST, PT, and OBC), in accordance with the provisions of the Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand.

BIT Mesra Scholarship Overview
In addition to government scholarships, we offer a number of other scholarships through various schemes, including the BIT GP Birla Scholarship, Merit-cum-means scholarship, and Merit scholarships based on the JEE Mains. We also provide financial assistance to students experiencing unexpected financial hardship, such as the sudden death of the family's main income earner.
BIT Mesra Eligibility Criteria
In order to qualify for our scholarships, students must meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements vary depending on the specific scholarship, but generally include academic performance, family income levels, and in some cases, scores on the JEE Mains or GATE exams.
BIT Mesra Required Documents
When applying for a scholarship, students will need to submit several documents, including a copy of their Institute Identity Card/ERP Registration Slip, Aadhar Card, GPA Card/ERP Result of MO 2022, Latest Income Certificate of parents or guardian, JEE Mains or GATE score Card (if applicable), Pay Slip of BIT Employee (if applicable), and an appeal for assistantship based on compassionate grounds (if applicable).
BIT Mesra Application Process
Students can apply for scholarships by submitting their applications along with the required documents through the appropriate channels. The Scholarship Committee then reviews the applications and selects the scholarship recipients based on the established eligibility criteria and the availability of funds.

We strive to provide as much financial assistance as possible to our students. However, in the event that the number of eligible students exceeds the available funds, we may revise the eligibility criteria to ensure the fair and equitable distribution of scholarships. Please note that the continuation of certain scholarships may depend on the student's academic performance in the subsequent semesters.
