The BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSITM) in Bengaluru will provide hostel facilities for students. The college has structured their hostel facilities to accommodate 622 total students within the hostel blocks built specifically for student housing. These blocks are purposely built for male students, female students and students who come from outside of India. The BMSITM has provided three different categories of housing to students. The fee structure for Normal Rooms is INR 1,54,000, NH Special Rooms is INR 1,82,000, and ICD Special Rooms is INR 1,92,000, which covers both the housing and meals. Each of the four hostel buildings have amenities for both male and female students, each with double occupancy rooms and triple occupancy rooms.

Hostel Environment

On the campus are four blocks of dormitories with facilities to accommodate 622 students, where students of boys’ dormitory are local residents within the campus and there is a girl’s dormitory located 4 km away with bus service.

International Student Accommodation

Hostel rooms dedicated to (NRI/PIO) students allow for comfortable living and provide a culturally supportive environment, with good amenities and a full-service hostel for its residents.

Cultural & Sports Activities

Kalarava is an annual fest/celebration and students have opportunities to participate in and enjoy sporting events such as cricket and football, with cultural activities throughout the school year.

Festival Celebrations

In addition to offering a festive atmosphere during festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, and Holi, hostelling facilities promote a communal experience in similar ways to how students would celebrate Diwali at home with their families.

Dining Facilities

The main dining areas within the hostels offer separate vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Indian, and international options, so students can choose what best suits their tastes or preferences. Cooking for the hostel is carried out by trained teams of professional cooks using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to maintain sterile working environments.

Student Menu Committee

The managing student committee creates the men's and women's hostel food menu to ensure that it meets the needs of the residents while providing them with a more versatile diet than would be provided by a traditional meal plan.

Accommodation Types

Boys typically have double-occupancy rooms within the hostel; girls have double-occupancy or triple-occupancy units, depending on the time of year and space available at the facility; and NRI/PIO students also have access to the same accommodation.

Power & Utilities

All dormitory blocks within the hostel have 24-hour power backups through generators and water supplies for general use, ensuring they have access to clean water and additional utilities for maintenance.

Internet & Communication

Each dormitory block is equipped with high-speed wireless Internet, television amenities, and internet-connected communication facilities to help residents stay informed and engaged in their academic pursuits.

Hot Water & Drinking Facilities

The hostels also have solar hot water heaters (geysers) and reverse osmosis machines that enable residents to obtain hot water when needed and clean, safe drinking water when they need it.

Gym & Sports Facilities

Gymnasiums and indoor sporting area facilities available in each of the hostels help promote fitness, social engagement, and safe and healthy lifestyles for all the residents throughout the entire academic year.

Laundry Facilities

There is a washroom on each level of the hostel, allowing the residents to do their laundry and keep themselves and their clothing clean and in good condition.

Mess Services

Messes in the men's and women's dormitories serve both North Indian-style meals and South Indian-style meals using a buffet format to make meal serving easy, along with an entirely separate Nepali kitchen with a separate buffet.

Automated Kitchen Equipment

Modern automated appliances, dishwashers and cold storage are used to maintain hygiene, efficiency and high-quality food preparation in the mess.

Cleanliness & Pest Control

Regular fogging, sanitation and pest control activities ensure a hygienic and tidy hostel environment for student safety and comfort.
