The CUSAT provides a wide array of courses in the field of engineering, law, technology, computer applications, etc. Some of the CUSAT Courses offered are BTech, MTech, MCA, BCA, BSc, MSc, M.A, etc. For the UG courses, students must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board with a certain percentage. For the PG courses, students with a valid bachelor’s degree are eligible for admission. The CUSAT admission is based on the valid entrance exam score, such asthe CUSAT CAT.

Students interested in pursuing their research/doctoral degree can apply for PhD at CUSAT in different departments as per their academic background. The eligibility and deppartments offering PhD programme are given in the below table-

CUSAT Admission Process 2025

Students aspiring to take admission at CUSAT in various UG/PG courses have to apply online for the admission.

 

However, for PhD, Diploma and certificate programmes students need not to apply online but they have to apply in offline mode by taking the application form from the concerned department. Admission to the majority of the courses is done on the basis of CAT(Common Admission Test), DDAT or other entrances.

 

How to Apply to CUSAT?

Before applying students must check the eligibility criteria and entrance exam code for their course from the college brochure.

 

Step 1: Registration at CUSAT official website.

 

Step 2: Filling of personal & academic details.

 

Step 3: Uploading required documents (Photo,signature etc).

 

Step 4: Then students have to select the desired course.

 

Step 5: After checking the preview students have to pay the application fee.

 

Step 6: After the payment center selection should be done by the students.

How can I join CUSAT after 12th?

To join CUSAT after 12th, candidates must appear for the CUSAT CAT (Common Admission Test). After qualifying, students can participate in the counseling process, where seats are allotted based on rank, preferences, and availability in different BTech branches.

How much rank is required to get admission in CUSAT?

The required rank for admission in CUSAT varies by branch and category. For top branches like Computer Science and IT, candidates generally need a rank within the top 1,000–2,000 in CUSAT CAT. For other branches, higher ranks are also considered.

What is the fees of CUSAT for BTech?
