CEG Boys’ Hostel

The CEG boys’ hostels are spread across 14 blocks on the Guindy campus. These blocks are part of the campus’s green, flower-themed layout, providing a peaceful residential environment. The hostel infrastructure supports a large number of male students, with facilities like 24/7 electricity, Wi-Fi, intercom connectivity, and clean common areas. There are resident counsellors in each block and a management hierarchy that includes the Dean-Warden, Executive Warden, and Deputy Wardens. For safety, boys have a curfew: they are not permitted to stay away from the hostel beyond 9:30 p.m. without prior permission.

CEG Girls’ Hostel

The girls’ hostels at CEG consist of 8 blocks. These include named blocks like Malligai, Malligai Extension, Mullai, Parijatham, Parijatham Extension, Roja, and Thamarai, with various room capacities across them. The campus provides a secure and nurturing environment, with round-the-clock security, dedicated resident counsellors, and well-maintained facilities. According to the hostel rules, girls must return to the hostel by 8:30 p.m., unless they have prior permission—emphasizing safety and discipline.
