Allotment for 95% of the annual B.Tech intake is based on the KEAM rank list published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, following criteria set jointly by CEE and KTU. The remaining 5% of seats are reserved under the NRI quota.

Of the 9 seats in each M.Tech programme, 7 are allotted through the online admission process conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Kerala. The remaining 2 seats in each programme are filled directly by the college through its own application process.

How to Apply for College of Engineering Munnar Admission 2026-27
Students can follow the steps below to apply:
Step 1: Register for the KEAM entrance exam through the official CEE Kerala portal at cee-kerala.org.
Step 2: Appear for the KEAM exam and wait for the rank list and option registration process.
Step 3: During KEAM counselling, select College of Engineering Munnar and your preferred branch while filling out your options.
Step 4: Check your allotment status once CEE publishes the allotment result.
Step 5: If allotted a seat, report to the college in person within the reporting window for 2026-27, this is 20 July to 25 July 2026, regardless of the branch allotted.
Step 6: Carry all required original documents and the admission fee, and submit the completed B.Tech First Year Admission Form 2026-27.
Step 7: Complete document verification and fee payment to confirm your admission.
