Academic: We study in college is really good. It makes us think deeper and is quite useful. Our teachers are amazing; I think they are the best economics professors in all of India. They know a lot, and many have even written research papers. How they teach here is also very good. We get interesting classes, homework, and activities. But the semester exams are quite tough. Only 60% of students can pass, so you need to score really well.

Placement: Our college has really good placements. From my batch, almost 80% of students got placed, so you can definitely get a decent job after finishing your degree. The average salary package is around 7 to 8 LPA, and the minimum package offered was 4 LPA. Our placement cell is super active and makes sure all students get internships and proper guidance for jobs. Many students from our college are now working as data analysts in top companies.

Campus: Campus is pretty crowded most of the time. We get full Wi-Fi everywhere, which is great, plus there are labs and a big library. The canteen here is also good and very cheap. Since the college is quite old and popular, the infrastructure is a little old-fashioned compared to some new colleges. Hostels are there for students, and two specific ones are quite clean, good, and they even have laundry and water coolers. Only thing missing is good sports facilities, they are not up to the mark.

Admission: Navigating admission at Delhi School of Economics felt smooth due to a user-friendly application portal and timely merit lists. Counselling and document verification were organized, staff guidance was clear, and orientation added clarity.

Academic: They really act like guardians and always help us do our best. I also like how they teach and explain everything in class. The classroom vibe is very good, I feel comfortable, and we can easily talk to any faculty member. For the M.A. in Economics honours course, it's 2 years long with 4 semesters. Before the main semester exam, we have internal exams. The final marks are 70% from external exams and 30% from internal ones, plus 5% for attendance. The M.A. in Economics honours itself is a mix of theory and practical stuff. In the first semester, they just revise all the basic concepts and what we already know. We study theories, maths, statistics, and econometrics in this course.

Placement: From my experience, our college has really good placements. Many big companies and banks come here to hire students, starting from the fourth semester. They pick students based on how good they are in studies first, and then there's an interview round. Companies like Amazon, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Jio Finance, Cognizant, Accenture, Deloitte, and KPMG visited, and a lot of offers were made. I think the lowest salary package was 2.5 LPA, and the highest someone got was around 12 LPA. Almost 80% of students get placed every year.

Campus: Campus is really clean and gives a nice, green feel. The hostel rooms are always neat and painted well. They have different hostels for girls, boys, and even staff members. Mess food is also hygienic and you get good variety often. If you don't want hostel, there are many private PGs just outside the campus gate.

Academic: Our college faculty was really something else. Most of our professors had PhDs from top places like JNU, Delhi School of Economics, and some even studied abroad. They were super educated. Especially in the economics department, all the profs sat together, so we could just go and talk to them anytime. The college followed a semester system, which meant every semester we had internal exams and final semester exams for all subjects. Project submissions were a big deal during internals. Our days were quite hectic, honestly, because of the heavy syllabus and regular classes. They would conduct in-house exams for a part of the syllabus, and the final end-semester exams covered everything. But one good thing was we got enough holidays between the main exams during semester time.

Placement: Our college really tries its best for placements and jobs. When you are in your final year, many companies come to take interviews. A lot of students got placed in very good law firms, big companies, LPOs, and NGOs. Some big names visited our campus for hiring too. In my batch, companies like HDFC, ICICI, Reliance, and Max Life Insurance were there for training. The college takes placements very seriously. They gave offers of about 5 LPA to 6 LPA, and the highest package last year was 25 LPA.

Campus: At our college, there is no hostel facility, so most students end up staying in PGs. The rent for these PGs was different for boys and girls. For girls, it was typically around 8,000 rupees per month, but us boys had to pay about 12,000 rupees every month. Each room was shared by two people and they were quite spacious.

Academic: The faculty are super qualified and have lots of experience, and they know so much. They help us learn beyond just the classroom walls, which is really good. Also, they are all very polite and always talk nicely with students, always supportive. You'll see most students are there for every lecture, so the student ratio is quite good. For exams, we follow a semester system. Each semester has two internal tests and then one main exam at the end, and there's a gap of six months between semesters.

Placement: Placements at our college are pretty good, honestly. Around 70% of students usually get placed every year. Many big companies come for campus placements, mostly PR firms or social services. Our college has its own placement cell, and they always have lots of opportunities ready for all students. This course is really helpful for finding jobs after we graduate, like in HR, law, social work, teaching, media, or NGOs. We also get many internships to build our social credit, and these are usually with local NGOs. But if you're looking for job-related internships, students generally have to find those by themselves.

Campus: In my college, I'm doing sociology and it focuses a lot on history. Our sociology lectures are usually like 2-hour explanation classes, and they use digital stuff too. The course syllabus is quite theoretical, so expect a lot of reading. About the hostel facilities, they're really good and stay clean most of the time. Food is just fine, but it changes depending on the contractor they hire. They have proper rules for girls' security, which is important. The area where our college is located is also very safe. Plus, hostel charges are quite okay for students, and we always get 24/7 water and electricity.

Admission: Filing my DSE application online was straightforward, followed by document verification that took time but stayed systematic. Counselling communication improved later, and the overall onboarding became clear once selection was confirmed.

Academic: M.A. economics teachers are seriously good. They make even super tough topics look easy, sometimes like a game, which is really cool. They are all very knowledgeable and well qualified for sure. Plus, they're super supportive and always clear our doubts whenever we ask. It's a great mix of real-world experience and book stuff they teach us.

Placement: Placements for our M.A. economics course were really good. Around 60-70% of students got jobs, which is a decent number. Big companies like EY, KPMG, and even RBI hired from our batch. A few really lucky students even got into places like Niti Aayog and the World Bank. Most of us got roles such as analyst or researcher.

Campus: I like about our college is the canteen food, it's very good and tastes just like home food. Our facilities and infrastructure are also good overall. But a big issue is the Wi-Fi connection. It often gets stuck and just doesn't work properly. This is a real problem, especially when you want to study in the library and need Wi-Fi, but it's not working.

Admission: Specializing in Geography at DSE followed a systematic process, starting with smooth online registration and a scheduled merit list. Counselling required patience, verification stayed clear, and final registration concluded efficiently.

Academic: Here are really good at what they teach and are also very friendly with students. They make it easy for us to understand the syllabus and how the exams work. Plus, all our faculty members are highly qualified, many have degrees from top places in India or even abroad.

Placement: For us geography students at Delhi School of Economics, it is really hard to have a good placement cell. This is mainly because of the kind of geography course we opted for. Geography is a subject that mixes with many others, so it is quite interdisciplinary. Plus, many students who study geography also choose different career paths, not just regular placements. So yeah, a proper placement cell for our department is basically missing because of all these reasons.

Campus: College has really good facilities like lecture halls, seminar halls, Wi-Fi, a cafeteria, research equipment, and a GIS lab. The geography course here is planned very well, it covers many different subjects. It's also a very good environment for both studying and doing research.

Academic: I like is how helpful the teachers are here. They are super knowledgeable and help every student, whether you're good in studies or need extra help. This really makes our course curriculum relevant and good. Exams in each semester are not too tough, like medium difficulty, and most students clear them easily.

Placement: This M.A. course is mainly for students who don't care much about scholarships or getting jobs right after. They mostly want to get into journalism or prepare for UPSC. Because there are no campus placements, you won't see any big companies hiring here. Many students in this course come from an economics background, probably because it's a very popular course at our college.

Campus: About the facilities, they are pretty well-maintained here. Our classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi are all checked regularly and kept in good shape. Plus, we get clean drinking water available 24/7, and the Wi-Fi service is also always on. The mess food quality is also quite good, and they make sure to keep it hygienic.

Admission: Progressing into DSE involved moving from the entrance exam to final registration in a clear sequence. The prompt merit list was reassuring, online seat allotment felt streamlined, and document verification, though lengthy, was managed well before a helpful orientation.

Academic: Our college had one of the most famous economics departments in India. The teachers there were super qualified and always very nice to all students. They not only taught us well but also helped with our research projects and organized many seminars and workshops. The semester exams were a bit hard, and we needed to score 30% marks to pass them.

Placement: Talking about placements, almost 90% of the students from our batch got placed, which is quite good. The highest salary offered was 25 LPA, and the average package was around 10 to 15 LPA. Even the lowest package was decent, ranging from 6 to 8 LPA. Big companies like Deloitte, World Bank, and Barclays came for recruitment. They offered interesting roles such as policy analyst, business analyst, and research associate.

Campus: What I liked most about our college is the super good facilities. Everything felt very top-notch and also had an old-school kind of feel. All our classrooms and lecture halls have AC, which is a big relief in the heat. Also, the library here is very well-stocked, like you find so many books on campus. And the canteen has really cheap and nice food and snacks.

Admission: Submitting my application to DSE through the CSAS portal felt straightforward, with the merit list released on time and online counselling handled well. Document verification stayed efficient, staff were supportive, and registration felt organized throughout.

Academic: I remember most about the college was the teachers. They were really good and took studies very seriously, knowing a lot about their subjects. For my main subject, economics, the teachers were just perfect. The semester exams were not super easy though; they had a mix of moderate and tough questions because economics isnt a very simple subject.

Placement: For my B.A. honors course, many students were aiming for civil services. This is mainly because our course doesn't directly guarantee you a job right after finishing. Besides that, some students decided to go for higher studies, and a good number are still preparing for big civil services exams like UPSC and state PSC.

Campus: The university I studied at had really good infrastructure, which was a big plus. All the facilities were well-maintained too, like the library, classrooms, canteen, medical area, and even sports facilities. Mess food was quite good, I must say. The hostels were also decent, though getting a spot was tricky because of limited seats. We had Wi-Fi available on campus, but only in certain parts.

Admission: Expectations about DSE admissions were exceeded, as online document submission and fee payment were efficient. Regular updates on merit lists and counselling helped, and final registration moved quickly with staff support.

Academic: Professors are just great here. They are actually ranked number one in India for economics, all thanks to their research in super good journals. They offer so many different courses, and everyone is really friendly and easy to talk to. When you talk to them, it's always very helpful and you learn a lot. This course is mainly focused on HR stuff, covering all HR topics, which gives students a good chance to really build their knowledge. They even teach basics of finance and marketing too. We have exams every semester, for 4 semesters in total, and there are internal tests often as well.

Placement: From my experience here, placements are really good. Students can join summer placements in their first semester and final placements in the third semester. We have many big companies visiting our campus like JP Morgan Chase and Co, Morgan Stanley, AON, ICICI Bank, Atomberg, Hindalco, Deloitte, KPIT, Samsung, and many others. Almost all students get placed, and the percentage is above 90%. The highest salary offered was more than 26 LPA, and the average package is 14 LPA. Right now, I am doing an internship that I got through college placements, and I am trying to get a PPO. If I get the PPO, I plan on staying with this same company.

Campus: Our college has really good hostel facilities for all the postgraduate students, and these are spread around the whole campus of Delhi University. The hostels are given out based on merit, which means on your marks, and the facilities here are super good and also very affordable. Most of the hostels even have canteens that are open 24 hours a day. Plus, transport is quite easy and cheap with DTC buses and the Delhi metro.
