Admission: The teachers here are really nice and always ready to help. We have a total of 3 internal exams and one final exam, all checked by the university. The course is pretty big, so it's tough to study everything. People struggle a bit before exams, but eventually, they get the hang of it.
Placement: Around 200 students join the MBBS program every year. After 4.5 years, those who graduate can do a one-year internship at our college's hospital. They get paid by the national health mission in Assam and then do rural placements for another year.
Campus: The labs are great for doing experiments. Classes have smart boards and AC, but there's no Wi-Fi. The library is on the 5th floor, which is cool. Our college hospital is the biggest in Assam, with over 600 ICU beds and 33 departments. They're also building a new maternity hospital with 1,000 beds. It's pretty impressive!

Admission: The teachers are pretty qualified, but the lectures aren't super helpful. Personally, I find the curriculum really heavy and stressful. We have exams all the time, which gets exhausting. The semester exams are tough, and the professional exams are even harder and super stressful.
Placement: There are 210 students in our batch. About 165 of us land an internship on the first go. The internship pays 31k. After that, we do one year of rural service. Then, we can choose to do post-graduation through NEET PG or keep working in rural or private hospitals.
Campus: The college has great infrastructure with spacious classrooms that can fit 210 students. Each department has its own lab. There's a high-tech skill lab with mannequins worth up to 1.5 crore. The food in the hostel is good, and we even get snacks in the evening and eggs in the morning with breakfast.

Admission: The teachers here really care and do their best to help us out. The syllabus is all planned out by CBME. They decide what we study and how many classes we have. We gotta finish everything by certain dates. We have exams in three parts, each lasting three months. The final tests happen after a break, once we finish all the parts or pre-finals. Gotta be ready for the whole syllabus during that time.
Placement: At the end, there's an internship program where you have to work at the hospital. It's a good way to learn about healthcare while helping out. They pay you Rs. 35,000 a month, which is more than what other medical colleges offer. It's a nice bonus for sure.
Campus: The classrooms have digital boards for presentations, and they use smartboards for teaching. Plus, there's AC in all classrooms. We've got two libraries one in the college building and another in the lecture hall area. The practical labs are in the departments they belong to.

Admission: The professors are really helpful, but there aren't enough facilities for all the students, which can be a bit of a hassle. The courses are okay, but they focus too much on theory instead of hands-on practice. The exams are not too hard, they're just average. The passing rate is around 40%.
Placement: There are about 60 students in our group. Our course doesn't come with a job offer because it's a professional diploma. But once we finish, we can work in pharma companies. And everyone gets a 3-month internship at a government hospital after completing the course.
Campus: The institute's infrastructure is okay, not too bad. The facilities they offer are just average. They've got a library with lots of pharmacy books and a few others. The labs are clean and have all the equipment we need for our experiments. The classrooms have fixed wooden seats like in a gallery, which is cool. And all the classrooms have projectors and screens for digital presentations.

Admission: The school is all about studying non-stop. They push us to be the best in the university. Because of this, the fun events and clubs aren't well-planned, so campus life feels lacking. But the teachers are great and know their stuff. The semester is tough though you need at least 50% to pass.
Placement: In our batch, there are around 200 students. The dissection hall is divided into 4 groups, each with about 50 students. This college offers more than just MBBS courses and is known as one of the best. However, some classes have too many students.
Campus: The college is super old which means the buildings are kinda run down. It's split up, with one building on a hill and the other down near the hospital in the city. Plus, there's no AC or Wi-Fi for us students.

Admission: The teachers here are really smart and know their stuff. They are all doctors and do cool things like writing books and research. Some teachers use videos and stuff to teach, but others are more hands-on. Practical classes are fun, and we get to work with classmates and patients. We learn how to diagnose cases after spending time with patients. The exams are based on what we learn in class, with questions about diseases and stuff. Sometimes we have to study on our own because we miss classes. Seniors help us prepare for exams by sharing study materials and old questions. We need at least 50% to pass exams, but that might change. We have 9 semesters and 4 years, including professional MBBS exams. It's all based on NMC rules, which could change soon.
Placement: I went to this college from 2017 to 2022. We had to sign an agreement to do a year of internship after our final MBBS exam. After that, we could choose between a year of rural service or 5 years of medical service in the State. Once you're in, you're guaranteed placement. It's more about following the rules than how well you did in school. Most students, around 92%, could take the final exams based on their marks and attendance. The rest had to wait 6 months before taking the exams and then start their internship.
Campus: Our college doesn't have a main campus, but we have buildings spread out on Narakasur Hill. We have air-conditioned lecture halls with AV facilities. There's a canteen at the top of the hill where we can grab food. We have different classes in different places - pre-clinical classes are at the college, while para clinical and clinical classes are near the GMCH auditorium close to the hospital. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. I stayed in hostel 3 at the top of the hill, which has a great view of Guwahati city center. It's nice and breezy in the summer. The mobile network on the hill is not so good, but they recently offered Jio Fiber services for faster internet. The hostel mess is run by students, and the food is okay - we get 3 meals a day. Sometimes it gets repetitive, but we can order from food delivery services. The hostel has sports courts, indoor games, and a hall for activities. There's an auditorium at the bottom of the hill for events. Being close to the hospital means we have easy access to medical facilities, which is convenient for students.

Admission: The teachers at Gauhati Medical College are really good and follow all the MCI guidelines. Every department has enough staff members, which is great. The course curriculum is spot on and prepares us well for working with patients. It's a solid choice for anyone wanting to become a doctor.
Placement: The best thing about the MBBS course is that you don't have to worry about placements. Once you graduate, you can start working right away. Plus, you can do your internship at the same hospital. And after that, you have the option to prepare for NEET PG or work at any hospital. And if you pass NEET PG, you can choose your next course based on your merit.
Campus: The college has lots of facilities and nice classrooms. There are two libraries too. The hostel they give us is newly renovated and in good shape. The food they serve is pretty good. They also have lots of sports events at the college.

Admission: The college sticks to the rules from MCI, which is cool. The teachers know their stuff, and each department has lots of faculty. They teach well and the course content gets us ready to help patients.
Placement: In MBBS, placements aren't a big deal. You start as interns at the hospital and later become a medical officer. Then you can aim for NEET PG and pick your desired courses. With your qualifications, you can work at any hospital you like.
Campus: The college has everything we need! We've got two libraries, the classrooms have AC, and the hostels are newly renovated and super comfy. The food in the mess is pretty good too they serve a variety of yummy dishes. Overall, the facilities are top-notch here.

Admission: The teachers here are top-notch, coming from the Northeast with a lot of smarts in their subjects. This course is all about real-world stuff, so you're set once you graduate. The exams each semester are tough and can be draining, but it pays off in the end.
Placement: Internships are pretty common here, and once you finish, you become a medical officer with the National Health Mission. The salary is based on your skills, but they make sure you get at least 35,000 rupees each month in rural areas. Once you're done with the internship, you'll be in charge of a public health center in rural places.
Campus: The campus has AC and Wi-Fi everywhere. The labs are stocked with top-notch equipment. The library has all the books we need. The hostel is the best in the Northeast, and they serve good mess food. Plus, there are sports and a gym.
