IIM Ahmedabad Campus Highlights

IIM Ahmedabad's campus covers 102 acres and is located in the Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad. The campus has two distinct architectural sections: the heritage campus associated with Louis Kahn and the newer campus with additional academic, residential and recreational infrastructure.

IIM Ahmedabad Campus Architecture

The IIM Ahmedabad campus is internationally recognised for its architecture. The heritage campus was designed by American architect Louis I. Kahn, whose design uses exposed red brick, large geometric openings, arches, courtyards and landscaped open spaces. The academic buildings and dormitories are connected through pedestrian corridors and open courts, creating interaction spaces outside the classrooms.

The new campus was developed separately from the heritage campus and uses exposed concrete while maintaining a visual connection with Kahn's architectural principles. It contains additional dormitories, academic facilities, executive education infrastructure and residential facilities.
