Admission: Most of the teachers are from Bengal or Telugu. They are really nice and help us understand things without needing to look online. Some teachers can be a little strict, but it's okay. The course material is good. We have 2 semester exams - one in the middle and one at the end. The weightage of marks depends on the teachers. Attendance is important. About 80% of students pass, but around 18% need to retake exams in the summer.
Placement: I'm not too sure about the placements, but I heard that the average package has been steady at around 20 LPA for 4 years. In CSE, the average package is about 25 LPA with 80% of students getting placed. Almost 97% of students who apply end up getting placed. Companies like Wipro and Federal come for placements. Google and Amazon also come, but they only hire a few students.
Campus: The lab building is pretty old, but the library is massive. The study room has plenty of space and computers. There are three fancy lecture halls. The hostels have single rooms with a bed, table, cupboard, and chair. Each room has windows and a balcony. The food is okay, but eating the same thing gets boring. Wi-Fi is unlimited but needs a password. Sports aren't that great here. The canteens have decent food at fair prices.

Admission: The teachers here are really good at what they do. They make sure everyone joins in during classes. The PDP talks are great too, they help boost your confidence a lot.
Placement: Students can apply for campus placements after the 7th or 10th semester. Companies like Tata, Amazon, Birla, and Zomato come for placements. About twenty percent of students get placed. I'm thinking of doing an M.Tech after my B.Tech.
Campus: The college has three big fests every year: Alma Fiesta, Wissenaire, and the Entrepreneurship Fest. They happen in March, and students from all colleges in Bhubaneswar come. Each fest has a DJ night with cool artists.

Admission: The courses at IIT Bhubaneswar cover a lot of subjects, and the teachers are all Ph.D. holders. They ask us for feedback on classes and teachers. We have exams two times in one semester. A semester lasts around 4 months. After 2 months, we have mid-semester exams. At the end of the semester, there are final exams.
Placement: After COVID, it's been tough to get placements because companies aren't hiring as much. Over 30% of students in our batch still need jobs. The highest package is 55 LPA, and the lowest is around 6 LPA. Less than half the class got internships on campus. Many of us have to look for internships off campus or do research instead.
Campus: The hostels are well-kept and clean. The food in the mess isn't great - it's just okay, not very tasty. We end up eating pickles and other long-lasting stuff a lot. The campus is pretty, but there aren't many big trees, so summers get really hot.

Admission: The professors here know their stuff and have lots of experience in research and teaching. They're easy to talk to and can help with your studies and research. The courses are pretty challenging, but that's normal. Exams are hard, but they grade on a curve based on how well everyone else does.
Placement: Most electrical students got jobs, like 82%. They got around 19.5 LPA on average in 2024. The top job paid 64 LPA from Oracle, while the lowest was 10 LPA. Both core and noncore jobs were available. Companies like Google, Oracle, DE Shaw, and Flipkart came for placements.
Campus: The school has awesome infrastructure. The classrooms and labs are all decked out. They have air conditioning in the classrooms, modern lab stuff, and cool stuff for students like basketball courts and gyms. The dorms are nice too. They have big solo rooms.

Admission: The teachers here are great; they all have their Ph.D. The course is like the one at IIT Kharagpur but could use some updates. The exams each semester are usually pretty hard, and how you get graded depends on the teacher. They might use relative or absolute grading.
Placement: The job placements are pretty good here. The average package is 15 LPA, and around 85% of students get placed. The highest package is 62 LPA. Core placements are good too. But, the internships for my major aren't great right now. For non-core fields, there are some decent internship opportunities available.
Campus: The hostels here are pretty nice. They come with Wi-Fi and LAN. There's three boys' hostels, two for girls, and even one for married couples. The sports facilities are awesome we've got everything except a swimming pool, but they're planning to have one by Feb 2025. The new lecture halls are really cool too.

Admission: The pass rate is good, and most exams are okay. Some professors make hard papers, but others make them easy. Mechanical and ECE professors are a bit tough. The courses are well planned.
Placement: So far, most students have got placed. The best package is 64 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA in my course. Nvidia is the top company for hiring in my course. Lenovo and a few others also hire students. There are limited internships at Rippling and Google. The main roles offered are SDE and ML.
Campus: The hostel is pretty good, with nice facilities. The food is decent. Rooms are new and well-maintained, but single rooms can be a bit of a hassle. The canteen has gotten better and is pretty nice now. Medical facilities are okay. Sports and games have really improved and are enjoyable now.

Admission: I finished the course in two years, which is like four quarters. Electives started in the third semester. The course stuff was interesting but tiring. Thanks to the teachers and mentors, I got good at differential analysis. Our class had around 40-50 students, which made it better. We had homework every week for practice. The course cost INR 35,000 per year.
Placement: Most MSc. students end up teaching, but some get job offers from companies on campus too. Some big companies that come for placements are GAIL, CDAC, TRAI, REC, Goldman Sachs, GE India, Amazon, Honeywell, Tata Steel, Jaguar Land Rover, Adobe, and Vedanta. The highest salary offered was Rs. 49 LPA per week.
Campus: The hostel rooms are for one person only. Each room has a bed, chair, table, fan, tubelight, three sockets, and a balcony with a nice view. You get the hostel when you join any course, and the food at the mess is usually pretty good.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff. They teach well and mostly in English. The curriculum and industry focus are balanced. Not everyone gets the same grades since we use relative grading.
Placement: Most students got job offers right on campus like, almost everyone! For my course, a bunch of us landed jobs through campus placements, like over 98%. The pay ranges from 5 LPA to 64 LPA, with an average of 18 LPA. Big companies like Amazon, Adobe, Dell, HCL, Infosys, and Microsoft hire a lot of us. Plus, many students snag internships too. It's a pretty good deal!
Campus: We get Wi-Fi on every floor and LAN in our rooms. There's Wi-Fi in labs and classrooms too. The library is in the main building. Hostel facilities are good. Boys get single rooms, while B.Tech 1st year girls share rooms. The food is okay for North folks, but not great for South folks.

Admission: The faculty here is awesome, from teachers to staff. They teach really well and cover advanced topics. The exams are fair and test what we learn in class. Overall, a great place for learning.
Placement: For us CS students, the job offers usually start from 3.5 LPA and can go up to 10 LPA. It's pretty much the same for other departments too. A lot of us end up finding placements off-campus, which is cool. Students really like it here. We often land internships with Amazon and a few other companies. CS students especially get these chances a lot.
Campus: The campus has great infrastructure and lots of facilities. Wi-Fi works everywhere, and the buildings are top-notch. The food in the mess is good, and the sports facilities are awesome. They even have a safe area just for playing.

Admission: The teachers here are really nice and super qualified with Ph.D. and doctorate degrees. They're great at clearing up our doubts. In the lab, some of the teachers are government employees and the TAs help out too, but they're not always the best at answering every question. The Civil course at this IIT isn't amazing, but it's okay. The curriculum really prepares us for the industry and we have two semester exams - one in the middle and one at the end. We also have class tests and quizzes in between. And don't forget about the lab exams - we have those too!
Placement: I checked with older students about job placements and salaries. Our college doesn't have a specific placement office. On average, civil engineering students get around 19 LPA, while overall campus placements average around 23 LPA. About 85% of civil engineering students and 77% overall get placed. Big companies like Intel, Microsoft, Infosys, and Zomato hire from here. Students with over 83% usually land internships. Some even get placed at HCC (Hindustan Contractions Company). Fun fact: one of our seniors actually founded Rapido!
Campus: The campus facilities are okay, not great. The Civil course professors are good, and the block is nice. The labs have old equipment, and the classrooms have benches with chairs, three boards, and a clock. The library has lots of books and a study room. Hostel food is good three days a week, but not so great the other days. The canteen food is yummy, and we have good medical facilities. We also participate in inter-IIT and GCs.
