Admission: For me, the admission steps moved at a steady pace because all JoSAA notifications arrived on time. Verification at the reporting desk was organised, and the staff guided everyone without rushing. The registration part barely took a few minutes, and the orientation helped make the first few days comfortable.
Academic: Teaching staff in this place is experienced and knowledgeable but sometimes not very enthusiastic and they do not provide enough study materials while most extra curriculum activity happens at the start of each semester and the exams remain tough.
Placement: Statistics for my batch show around 60 percent of students got placed with major recruiters like L and T Infotech Wipro and Infosys offering software developer and ethical hacker roles and salary packages ranging from 4 lacs at the lowest to 14 lacs at the highest with an average of 8 lacs.
Campus: Food quality in the college canteen and mess is very hygienic and tasty and hostel rooms are comfortable while classrooms and labs stay neat and clean and the large library holds plenty of books making the entire campus environment friendly and pleasant.

Admission: Most things during admission were simple to follow because the instructions for counselling and reporting were written clearly. Verification went smoothly with supportive staff, and registration hardly took any time. Orientation made it easier for us to adjust to the new environment.
Academic: Relation between students and teachers is good because the faculty ratio is 1 to 10 and every three students get one advisor and many teachers are kind while the curriculum prepares well for industry and exams happen in four parts Quiz 1 mid sem Quiz 2 and end sem.
Placement: Recruitment at IIT Guwahati is open to final year BTech and MTech students and about 120 software companies visit annually including giants like Google Amazon Microsoft and Oracle with top offers from Microsoft Oracle Paytm VMware Walmart Goldman Sachs Adobe SAP and Intel; the average CTC is 24.89 LPA the average base is 15.06 LPA the highest CTC is 43.36 LPA the lowest CTC is 12 LPA and the lowest base is 9.5 LPA while MTech CSE placements reach about 96 percent every year.
Campus: Rooms in the hostels give each boy a single room with high-speed ethernet connections while food is okay but breakfast is especially good and each hostel has its own canteen juice center and indoor games like TT carrom pool and foosball plus gym TV room music room reading room and stationery shop.

Admission: Communication from the admission office stayed clear throughout the process. Verification was managed neatly by the staff, and registration needed only a short time online. The orientation session gave a simple overview of classes and campus life for beginners.
Academic: Experience here shows teachers are highly qualified with many from IITs or abroad and the course suits students who like engineering and chemistry while semester exams are hard and competitive and passing needs at least 40 percent and marks are spread across the semester though some subjects have strict grading.
Placement: Placement results for my course show around 85 percent of students getting jobs with one student hitting a 1 crore package and an average salary around 25 LPA while top recruiters include Amazon Uber JPMC and Google and around 20 percent also get internships from the same companies mostly for SDE and consultant roles.
Campus: Environment at the college is great with a large campus playground and separate academic and administrative buildings while hostel life is nice with mess food three times a day a gym 24x7 canteens and a dedicated on-campus hospital for students.

Verification at the centre was handled politely, and small mistakes in documents were corrected easily. Registration afterwards was quick, and the orientation covered the important things we needed to know.

Admission: Following the instructions for IIT Guwahati felt natural since the counselling page listed the steps clearly. The verification team worked with patience and kept the line moving. Registration was quick to finish, and the orientation explained what new students should expect in the starting weeks.
Academic: Civil engineering faculty at IIT Guwahati is strong with many teachers having PhDs though teaching styles vary as some explain topics clearly while others expect self study and the syllabus covers core topics well though it feels a bit old for current industry needs so students take internships or online courses for extra software learning and exams are tough but manageable and higher CGPA needs more effort due to relative grading.
Placement: Civil engineering placements are decent with more than 70 percent of students placed and the highest package reaching 69 LPA while the lowest was 6 LPA mostly from core recruiter L and T though students can also apply to tech or product sectors and top companies like Google Microsoft and Flipkart hire too; only about 20 percent of students get on campus internships mostly in tech or management roles with companies like Adobe and BCG offering positions such as SDE ML expert data analyst and data scientist.
Campus: Sports options across campus include cricket basketball kho-kho tennis volleyball and a gym with some hostels having their own gyms plus a central gym while main buildings like admin blocks classrooms the library and food courts are all excellent though hostels are older and mess food is average but classroom ACs and campus-wide Wi-Fi remain strong.

Admission: Updates from JoSAA and the institute arrived on time, so nothing felt confusing. Verification took some waiting, but the staff treated everyone politely. Registration was quick, and the orientation introduced all the basic information needed for a fresh start.
Academic: Teaching at this place depends a lot on TAs because main teachers are not very helpful and TAs are generally more useful though sometimes rude and even though they are qualified it is unclear how they are evaluated while semester exams follow the typical tough IIT pattern.
Placement: Data from our college shows about 78 percent placement with the lowest salary around 7 to 8 LPA and the highest going up to 3 crores while big companies like Google Amazon and some chemistry related firms recruit and most students get internships often in the same big companies.
Campus: Quality across the campus includes reliable Wi-Fi well-kept labs some excellent classrooms a huge library and an overall good study environment even though a few classrooms may feel a bit dull.

Academic: Atmosphere in the department is relaxed as many teachers are chill and give good grades even if attendance is not perfect though a few may be strict about attendance and the courses and labs are interesting and exams are easy to score well in if you attend classes daily.
