Admission: Coordination during admission felt strong, as counselling progressed smoothly, verification teams were supportive, updates were timely, and joining felt less stressful overall.

Academic: Our teachers here are super experienced and really talented. They are friendly too, and clear all our doubts, whether we ask offline or online. Plus, they help us a lot in the training and placement cell. The mechanical engineering course is truly the best if you want to work in industry, and the faculty really makes sure we are prepared for everything. Every semester, we have mid-semester and end-semester exams. These exams count for 30 percent. They are not that tough, so we can clear them easily.

Placement: After we graduate, almost everyone from our college gets placed. Around 90.28 percent of students find jobs every year, and most of them are from the Computer Science and Engineering branch. The highest package someone got was 46.16 LPA, and that was a CSE student. The lowest package offered was 6 LPA, with the average package being 13.93 LPA. For my course, big companies like Google and Amazon come to recruit students. Also, every single student at the college gets a chance for an internship from different companies.

Campus: Our college has pretty good campus facilities. Some buildings are old, so their condition isn't the best. But the new ones, like the academic buildings and the hostels for PhD scholars and fourth-year students, are really nice. Classrooms also have good infrastructure. Sadly, the hostels given to first-year students are old and not that great. We get 24-hour internet in labs and classrooms, which is super helpful. Also, there are all sorts of sports to play, and we have inter-hostel and inter-IIT competitions too.

Admission: Counselling through JoSAA remained clear, with smooth choice filling, efficient online verification despite minor portal lag, and consistently good communication on deadlines.

Academic: Our teachers here are super helpful and friendly. They teach really well, but you get tons of assignments and homework thrown at you. Honestly, the course curriculum isn't always fully useful. You actually need to pick up some extra skills, especially soft skills, by yourself. As for assignments and semester exams, they are usually moderate to tough, so it means you really have to study hard to do well.

Placement: Placements are quite good for B.Tech students. The top package reached 41.6 LPA, and on average, students got 15.88 LPA. If we talk about specific departments, CS students did really well, with a highest package of 41.6 LPA and a median of 15 LPA; about 79.07% students from CS got placed. For Mechanical, the highest package was 20 LPA, and the median stood at 10 LPA, with a placement rate of 76.67%. Coming to Civil, the highest package was 20 LPA, and the median was 6.28 LPA, but the placement percentage was a bit lower at 57.89%. Electrical department also had a good run, seeing a highest package of 36.72 LPA and a median of 15 LPA; around 63.89% of their students got placed.

Campus: In my college, the facilities are quite good. Our classrooms and lecture halls are air-conditioned, have projectors, and plenty of space for everyone. The computer labs are a big plus – they're free for us to use anytime, even at night (except during class hours). These labs have really good machines with 32GB RAM and 11th Gen i7 Intel processors. Also, there's fast Wi-Fi all over the campus and in hostel rooms. About the mess food, it's generally good with lots of variety, mostly tasting North Indian and not very spicy. If you don't like it, there's a canteen where you can buy whatever you want. The college also has bus service which helps students and professors travel within the campus and to Palakkad city. Sports facilities are still growing but many students enjoy them on the green campus. We also have libraries on both Nila and Sahyadri campuses, so if you don't find a book in one, you can check the other. Now for the tough part: there are two campuses, Nila and Sahyadri, about 2 km away from each other. Sometimes your classes are spread across both, so you need to take the bus. The buses can get full, so you might have to wait or even walk. And one more thing, you need 85% attendance, and they give a lot of assignments, so you really have to manage your time well here.

Admission: Process-wise, admission at IIT Palakkad stayed organized, as counselling, verification, helpful staff guidance, and clear communication reduced stress and kept every step easy to follow.

Academic: You know, at our college, we had exams almost every month, and they would just announce them out of nowhere. It was like a never-ending cycle: prepare for one exam, write it, wait for papers to get checked, and then right away start getting ready for the next one. This was basically our life to keep up with studies. Oh, and our class teachers would always make sure to tell our parents how we were doing in class.

Placement: For students doing M.Tech in data science at IIT Palakkad, the placements are pretty good, with almost 82 to 90% getting jobs every year. The college makes sure the placement training is really helpful and easy to follow because they do it step-by-step. Also, only a small number of students get into this M.Tech program each year.

Campus: Our college campus was really good. They had all the needed facilities like parking, a nice mess area to hang out, transport options, and good accommodation. Also, we got specialized labs and classrooms with AC. The best part was how students from all different places and backgrounds lived together without any discrimination or feeling left out.

Admission: Overall, the admission journey at IIT Palakkad stayed straightforward, supported by smooth JoSAA counselling, efficient seat acceptance, helpful staff, and timely deadline communication.

Academic: The first year here is pretty much like any engineering college, full of some courses that don't feel that useful. But the teaching quality overall is actually good. Our faculty members are good, though maybe not super experienced. They do continuous evaluations which I think is a positive thing. Semester exams can be tough sometimes, but most of us usually score well and almost everyone manages to pass the semester without much trouble.

Placement: It's been a bit mixed lately. Last year, our seniors did really well and almost everyone got placed, like a 100% placement rate. The average salary package for them was 15 LPA, and the highest even touched 50 LPA. But because of some recent issues, the placement rate has gone down a little bit now. For internships, it's just average; around 50 percent of students got offers.

Campus: Right now, our classrooms are good, and hostels also have Wi-Fi, which is helpful. We even have a library and an institute clinic available for students. But, the campus itself is still being built, so don't expect a complete campus experience yet. The hostels are just average, and the food there really needs a lot of improvement. Still, talking about infrastructure, it is actually good.

Admission: Entry to IIT Palakkad turned out straightforward, with clearly explained JoSAA counselling, timely seat allocation details, smooth document verification despite some waiting, and helpful pre-orientation communication.

Academic: The teachers here are really experienced and good at what they do. They are always ready to help students, whether it's in class or just on campus. The quality of teaching is actually awesome. But for extra activities, they only happen at the beginning of each semester. And yeah, the semester exams are quite tough, so you gotta study the whole year if you want to score well.

Placement: For my course, almost 55% of the students get placed. The salary packages offered are pretty good, with the highest going up to 10 LPA. On average, students get a package of 6 LPA, and even the lowest package was 4 LPA. Big companies like Wipro, Capgemini, and TCS come here to recruit. Also, many students got internships, which is really helpful for experience.

Campus: For our course, the overall infrastructure and facilities are just average. The classrooms and labs here are quite old and feel outdated. Hostel rooms, even though they are small, are actually comfortable to stay in. Good thing is, the food quality in the mess and canteen is hygienic. One downside is we don't get much time to play sports.

Admission: Transition into campus life felt easy due to clear instructions, quick physical verification, supportive volunteers, and an orientation that set expectations well from the start.

Academic: Professors here are quite strict but they are also very helpful. They are well-qualified and know a lot, so the teaching quality is excellent and helps us understand all the concepts properly. Exams are really tough though, so you have to study very hard. You need to get at least 50 percent marks to pass the semester exams.

Placement: College has pretty good placements. More than half the students, like over 50%, got jobs. The top salary someone got was 12.5 lakhs per year, and the lowest was 4 lakhs per year. Many big MNC companies visit our campus for recruitment. Also, about 5% of students managed to get internships. People mostly get roles like teachers, journalists, and lecturers after graduating.

Campus: Facilities at our college are really good, like we get unlimited Wi-Fi. The classrooms are always clean, and the library is also well-maintained. All the labs have new equipment, showing our college's excellent infrastructure. Plus, hostel food quality is fine, and medical facilities are available for students.

Admission: Joining IIT Palakkad felt quite organized. JoSAA counselling and seat allocation were transparent, and the subsequent online registration went smoothly. The admissions team was helpful during document verification, guiding us patiently. Overall, a positive experience from getting the offer letter to initial fee payment.

Academic: I like most about my college is how friendly and helpful the teachers are. They are super talented and many of them have studied abroad, which really makes their teaching good. They actually work to make sure every student is ready for jobs. But you should know that semester exams can be really tough, and you must have 85% attendance. Also, to even get interview calls or jobs, you need to keep a 7.5 CGPA.

Placement: For my course, about 80.77% students get placed. The average salary for civil engineers is quite good, around 10.22 Lakhs per year. Top companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, and ZS Associate recruit civil engineers from here. Many students prefer to go into the software side, but I think the core field is also very good.

Campus: College has really good faculty and facilities. Five of our teachers are even in the top 2% scientists from Cambridge University, which is super cool. We also got a brand new permanent campus recently. And guess what, the food here is also quite good. Almost all clubs are very active on our campus. Personally, I really enjoy the Vadya club, especially for singing.

Admission: Experience of joining IIT Palakkad remained streamlined, with scheduled JoSAA rounds, efficient campus verification, clear online registration, and prompt provisional confirmation.

Academic: I like most about our college is how relevant the curriculum is; it really focuses on what the industry needs. Most of our teachers are quite helpful and very knowledgeable, though sometimes their teaching quality could improve a bit. Semester exams here are moderately challenging, and about 75-80% of students usually clear them. All in all, it's a really good place for learning.

Placement: From our electrical department, placements are quite good. Around 70 to 80% students usually get placed here. The highest salary package goes up to more than 20 LPA, with the lowest being about 5 LPA. On average, students get packages of 8-10 LPA. Big companies like TCS, L&T, and Siemens come to recruit. Also, many students, about 60% of them, get internships. Common job roles offered are Electrical engineer and Design engineer.

Campus: The college facilities and infrastructure are decent, though they could definitely get better. We get good Wi-Fi here, and the labs are pretty okay. Classrooms are regular, and the library has enough books and stuff. About the hostel, it's just average, but I must say the mess food is really very good. Plus, there are lots of sports options around the campus for us.

Admission: The JoSAA counselling process was clearly explained online, making seat allocation straightforward. Document verification felt efficient, and the registration desk staff were helpful. Orientation covered everything needed, making joining smooth and stress-free.

Academic: The faculty here is a mix of experienced and new teachers. Many of our teachers are super qualified, with Ph.D. degrees, and some even learned from experts at IIT Bombay. They are quite knowledgeable and very supportive when you need help. Sometimes, though, they cover chapters quite fast. We have different exams like Test 1, Test 2, Mid-terms, and End-sems, and honestly, writing all of them can be pretty challenging.

Placement: For job placements, our college is really impressive. Last year, like, all students, 100% of them, got placed. The highest salary package was 50 LPA, and the average package stood at 18 LPA. Big companies such as Microsoft, TVS, Hero, Dell, HP, and Wipro, along with others, actively came for hiring. But we don't have clear details about internships or what top roles students bagged.

Campus: Our college campus has Wi-Fi everywhere, which is really useful for students. The labs here are always kept in good condition and well-maintained. Also, the classrooms in the new buildings are quite impressive to see. Speaking about our library, it is pretty big, spread across two different blocks. However, it mainly contains books related to our subjects and lacks a good collection of literature books.

Admission: My IIT Palakkad admission journey, from JEE Advanced rank to JoSAA seat allocation, was very clear. Document verification and fee payment were smooth, with staff support during online registration. The initial orientation was helpful, making the onboarding process straightforward.

Academic: The curriculum here is really good and very flexible. This helps us students balance all our stuff easily. Our teachers are also super helpful, and they are all PhD scholars. So, the teaching quality is good because they share all their knowledge with us. For exams, the semester ones are a bit difficult, but still, a lot of students pass, so the college has a good pass percentage overall.

Placement: Talking about placements from our course, around 90 percent of students get placed every year. The highest salary package reached 20 Lacs per annum, while the lowest was 8 Lacs and the average package was 14 Lacs per annum. Big companies like Google, Amazon, and ONGC are the top recruiters for our program. Also, almost 90 percent of students managed to get internships in various companies. Most of us get job roles like Managers and Associate Managers after passing out.

Campus: My college has really good facilities and infrastructure. We have lots of different labs and other useful things. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, which is super convenient. The library is also very nice, with all sorts of books you might need. The mess and canteen facilities are excellent, and the food they serve is actually very nice. Also, there are medical facilities available 24 hours a day right here on campus for any emergency.
