Admission: Securing a seat at IIT Ropar through JoSAA counselling was stress-free, as seat allotment was clear and document verification went smoothly. Staff assistance during registration helped greatly, and timely communication about deadlines supported easy joining.

Academic: In my college the teachers are helpful and they talk to us well. All the professors have Ph.D. degrees, which makes the teaching quality good. The syllabus we follow is useful, but the daily schedule can get very busy. Most students clear their exams, so the pass percentage is alright. Just keep in mind that some of the subjects can be quite tough.

Placement: My college has really good placements, with over 90% of students getting a job. The average salary package is around 30 LPA, and the highest went up to 57 LPA. For internships, everyone has to do one in a company when they are in their third year. Plus, professors help us find internships even from the second year itself.

Campus: Hostel infrastructure is pretty good actually. We get facilities like a gym, big rooms, table tennis in the common area, and a television. Wi-Fi is full-time there and geysers are also available in the hostels. Our labs are really well-equipped with all the necessary facilities for us. About the food, its quality is satisfactory. For any medical help, there are facilities at the student activity center.

Admission: Experiencing admission into IIT Ropar felt well-organized, with JoSAA counselling running smoothly and making the selection process transparent. On-campus document verification was efficient, administrative staff gave clear registration instructions, and orientation helped settle things quickly.

Academic: Faculty members are great here and they make it easy for students to get used to college life. Exams are also quite manageable; if you study properly, you can score good marks without much trouble. But yeah, a lot depends on how well a student can adjust to the college vibe. All the best to everyone!

Placement: For students at IIT Ropar, the Engineering Physics branch is really good. It offers many placement chances. Lots of companies, like Google, Microsoft, and IBM, come to our campus to pick students. This helps everyone get a job easily and feel satisfied with their career start.

Campus: Our college has really good infrastructure, the buildings look like they are inspired by foreign colleges such as MIT. But for the courses, the structure is not that great. Students face many problems while studying, and it gets tough to keep up with your batchmates. However, it is still manageable.

Admission: Navigating the JoSAA counselling for this institute felt systematic and transparent. After selection, the online registration portal was easy to use, document verification on campus was efficiently handled by staff, and the initial orientation supported a smooth transition.

Academic: Professors here are pretty good, very helpful and kind. You can usually find them in their offices on weekdays, from 9 AM to 6 PM, which is really convenient. Most of them are well-qualified, coming from big universities like IIT, IISC, MIT, and more. Even with their qualifications, the teaching quality is just moderate. The course curriculum is also moderately relevant, but it does help students get ready for the industry. One thing to remember is that the semester exams are quite tough.

Placement: Talking about placements, our college does really well. Last year, over 80% of students found jobs. The highest salary offered was around 40 LPA, and the average salary was about 16 LPA. Top companies like Tata Steel, JSW Paints, and JP Morgan hire from our campus. Plus, about 45% of students even got internships with Tata Steel and JP Morgan, getting roles in banking and marketing.

Campus: The metallurgical and materials engineering department here is quite good, located in the Hargobind Khurana block which we call SAB. This department has super modern labs with lots of equipment like SEM, TEM, XRD, microscopes, and other useful devices. All our classrooms have full air conditioning and a proper Wi-Fi network too. For staying, there are 4 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. Plus, we have a big sports complex with grounds for cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, tennis, basketball, and also a gym.

Admission: Initiating admission at IIT Ropar felt quite smooth, as every step from JoSAA counselling to final document verification was clearly outlined. Staff at the counters were very helpful, registration was quick, and the orientation sessions made joining easy with precise and timely communication throughout.

Academic: Teachers at IIT Ropar are super smart, with most of them having done their PhDs from abroad. For almost every class, you need to have 75% attendance, which is mandatory. Most of the professors are good, though there are a few exceptions. We have these regular class committee meetings where students can actually tell professors what they think about the course during the semester. The course curriculum is really relevant and they keep updating it, which totally helped me during my internship search. Exams here are not too tough but not super easy either; you can pass them pretty easily if you get around 30% marks.

Placement: Being in my 3rd year, I can share how internships are at IIT Ropar. From my batch of 70 students, around 5 folks got software development internships with big names like Microsoft, Arista Networks, and Razorpay. Many from mechanical core, like 35 students, also got internships at companies such as TATA Steel, Trident, and DRDO. Plus, two students went to OLA for product management, and one student even got an internship at JPMCt.

Campus: Our campus here is quite big, covering 500 acres, and we get Wi-Fi facilities everywhere. Inside the hostel rooms, there is LAN too for internet. All the common rooms in our hostels have good stuff like a gym, television, and sports equipment. A few hostels even have a snooker table in the common area. The library is very big and has books on almost every subject, from novels to course books and research papers. For food, the canteen options are better than what the mess serves. But honestly, after visiting three other IITs, I can say our mess food is actually much better than what they offer.

Admission: Completing my admission at IIT Ropar turned out to be a smooth experience. JEE counselling was well-organized, seat allocation updates were prompt, document verification was hassle-free with supportive staff, and the user-friendly registration portal along with orientation provided a clear overview.

Academic: College teachers are helpful and they explain things so clearly to everyone. They are all highly qualified and have good knowledge, which makes the teaching quality here very good. For semester exams, the difficulty is moderate, and you just need to get 30% marks to pass.

Placement: I even got to work on a really good project under one of our professors. Speaking of our course, everyone gets placed, literally 100% of students. Last year, the highest salary someone got was 61 LPA, and the average was 19 LPA. Top companies like HCL and Google hired from here. Plus, 74% of students from my course also got internships, and those were also with good companies.

Campus: My experience at IIT Ropar regarding hostels is mixed. The facilities there are good, but rooms are too small for two people and we dont even have a balcony. About the mess, food can be really good sometimes and then suddenly become very bad. But the sports facilities here are totally awesome, very good. For studies, the Wi-Fi is strong, labs are good, and classrooms are big. Only thing is, the library is small.

Admission: Approaching IIT Ropar admission felt structured, with JoSAA counselling simplifying choice filling and seat allocation. Online reporting was smooth, campus document verification was efficient, and clear instructions supported seamless registration and orientation.

Academic: In my college, the teachers are knowledgeable and always help you out. The course content is actually the same as what IITs teach. Our course structure covers all the theory concepts completely, which is good. Semester exams are quite hard, seriously. But if you study well, the pass percentage is quite good.

Placement: My college has good placements, with around 80% of students getting a job. The average salary package for our course is 15 LPA, but the highest one depends on the student's skills and performance. Top roles like PM, PA SDE, and analyst are offered here. However, it is a bit tough to get internships, especially if you are from the mechanical branch, because IT companies usually do not hire interns from that field.

Campus: According to experience here, the college infrastructure is pretty solid. Our hostels are really well-built, and the rooms inside are super spacious. They even give double seater rooms for students until the second year. The library here is packed with books, and both the library and classrooms have AC, which is great. Plus, the Wi-Fi works decent for daily use. Also, the labs are very good, especially if you want to do some research.

Admission: Choosing IIT Ropar felt streamlined because JoSAA counselling was clear and seat allocation updates were timely. Document verification and online registration were efficiently managed, with institute staff offering good support during final formalities and orientation.

Academic: Our professors are good, super helpful and they know a lot of things. The way they teach is just excellent. Also, the course syllabus is very relevant for jobs because we get lots of projects. This makes it very industry-like. Semesters are not too tough, mostly easy to medium level.

Placement: This year, even with the recession going on, both the maximum and median salary packages were really good. I also got to be the branch representative for my branch and handled many duties. Companies like Google, Zomato, Microsoft, De Shaw, Oracle, and Sprinkler are some of the top recruiters here.

Campus: The facilities here are really nice. We have fully equipped labs and the classrooms are very good too. A special thing is our library; it's open all day and night, 24 hours, and has so many books on every topic. You'll find the food in the mess and canteen totally fine, no issues there. Also, the sports and games area has everything ready, so you can play anything. It's all good here.

Admission: Registering for IIT Ropar through JoSAA felt straightforward due to clear counselling communication and seat acceptance steps. Staff handling online document verification were responsive, and final registration details arrived promptly, ensuring a seamless transition.

Academic: At our college, the teachers are really good and helpful. They always push us to study and explain everything about the course in-depth, so we can understand all the concepts properly. The course syllabus is fine and relevant, but it doesn't quite make you ready for a job in the industry, so students have to learn a lot on their own. The semester exams are quite hard here, even though our college takes exams regularly. Because of this, the passing percentage is only average.

Placement: Placements here are pretty good. Around 85% students got jobs. Someone got the highest salary of 50 LPA. The average salary package for placed students was 18 LPA. But overall, the average package offered was 13 LPA. Big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, L&T, Adobe, Flipkart, and Oracle come here to hire.

Campus: The food in our college mess and canteen is really good, which is a big plus point. We also get 24x7 medical facilities here, which is super helpful. There's a separate block just for electrical engineering students, and all the equipment we need for labs is available. Wi-Fi is there 24x7 in all labs and classrooms, and even in the library. Our hostel rooms are quite good. However, the library is a bit small, with only a few seats and not many course books. Also, many washrooms in the college are not in good condition. We have a cricket ground and a football ground, but there's no indoor court for badminton. The campus itself feels a bit small.

Admission: Reviewing IIT Ropars admission journey highlighted clarity at every stage, from JoSAA counselling to smooth online registration. Staff at document verification were very helpful, and the initial orientation programme provided a strong start overall.

Academic: What I like most about our college is definitely the teachers. They are all really great. Our professors are more about helping students out than just doing their own research. They are so friendly and always ready to help us with anything. It is also super easy to communicate with them whenever we need something.

Placement: At our college, there's a placement cell that works to help students with jobs and internships. The placements are decent overall, and you can find both core and non-core job opportunities here. But, honestly, getting internships in the core field can be a bit tricky for students.

Campus: College makes sure we have all the things needed for any subject. The infrastructure in our department is also very well-designed. About the hostels, all of them are new and in super good condition. For first and second-year students, they give double rooms, and for third-year students, it's single rooms.

Admission: Handling admission formalities for IIT Ropar involved careful JoSAA counselling, but the online registration portal was intuitive and campus document verification was surprisingly quick. Supportive staff ensured the final enrolment steps were clear and hassle-free.

Academic: The college curriculum is pretty relevant to what the industry needs, and we even get industrial visits that help us understand things practically. About the teachers, most of them are really qualified and know a lot. But yeah, some professors can be a bit unhelpful when you have doubts, and they don't make the environment friendly. Sometimes their grading also feels a bit biased. The course difficulty is medium, like a 6 out of 10. For most subjects, the pass rate is just 30%, but honestly, the result totally depends on which professor is teaching that class.

Placement: In our Civil department, placements are kinda low. Many companies often skip students from non-circuital branches, which is why. By late December, less than 40% of the whole batch got placed, but a lot of them secured PPOs. For Civil, the highest package was 18 LPA, the lowest 6 LPA, and the average came around 10 LPA. Top companies like BPCL, Trident, and LnT hired from here. When it comes to internships, only Bechtel came for Civil core and took just one student out of 33. Still, about 50% of Civil students did get internships, mostly in non-core fields.

Campus: My college has great facilities and infrastructure. For example, the Civil department got a whole new block, which is centrally air-conditioned. All its labs have modern tech and all kinds of equipment. In the hostel, we get beautiful rooms with good quality furniture. Though there are some issues with Wi-Fi, everything else is good, like the mess, canteen, sports, and games. Also, medical facilities are available anytime, which is a big plus.
