ITM University, Gwalior was established in 2011 by the Samata Lok Sansthan Trust, a prominent education group in India. The university is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), a state technical university in Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, and with Jiwaji University, Gwalior, for its MBA program. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is also recognized by other statutory national bodies like the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
