Admission: The teachers here know their stuff and they're really good. If you just do a bit of studying every day, the semester exams aren't too tough. Passing is definitely doable.

Placement: The placements here aren't great. If you're counting on getting a job right after college, you might want to look elsewhere. The college doesn't offer any help with placements.

Campus: I really liked living in the hostel. They have free Wi-Fi and the food is good. The hostel also organizes events like freshers and farewell parties, which is fun.

Admission: The teachers at Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology are really good. They have degrees like M.Tech and Ph.D., and some even studied at IITs. The teachers are friendly and helpful. The courses are focused on what's happening in the industry, but they could be updated more often. Exams are okay, they test how well we understand the topics. Most students can handle them with enough studying. I don't have exact pass rates, but I think JIST is a good place to study. It would be even better if they updated the courses more and matched them with what's happening in the industry.

Placement: At Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology (JIST), about 40% of students get placed after graduation. The salary offered ranges from ?1.44 LPA to ?7.15 LPA, with an average of ?2-3 LPA. Companies like Indian Oil, ONGC, Amul, Byju's, Infosys, Wipro, and TCS come for campus placements. Around 10% of students also get internships, mostly with ONGC, NRL, and OIL. Although we don't have clear information about specific job roles, JIST has a good track record of placing students in top companies. The placement scene is getting better, but more industry tie-ups could create more opportunities for us students.

Campus: I really like studying at Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology (JIST). The classrooms are big, and the labs have all the stuff we need for learning. The libraries are great for finding study materials. Living on campus is cool because they have hostels for guys and girls. The rooms are clean and have everything like electricity, water, and Wi-Fi all the time. The food at the hostel mess is good and they keep it clean. There's a health center on campus with a doctor and a pharmacist. Plus, there are sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games. It's a good place for studying and having fun too.

Admission: The teacher really helped me improve my skills and knowledge, and pushed me to aim high. They have qualifications from top universities like IIT, NIT, and others. The semester exams were well-organized, and the discipline at the college was good too.

Placement: The college is really great, especially for those looking for central government jobs like Oil India and ONGC. It's in Assam and offers a lot of internship opportunities to help us gain skills. The college infrastructure is good too. Overall, it's a nice place for placements in government jobs.

Campus: The Wi-Fi is free, labs are great, but classrooms could be cleaner. The library isn't well-maintained and there's a lack of discipline. However, the hostel is awesome for engineering students. I recommend staying in the hostel instead of a PG or rented room. Overall, the hostel is great in every aspect.

Admission: The teachers at the college work really hard. They give us good notes and teach well. Exams are a must, but they try to make them fair. They also have us do hands-on stuff like making prototypes, which helps for exams and real life. The exams are okay; not too hard, not too easy.

Placement: I go to a B.Teach college that offers B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses. The teaching is great, and they even set up internships and science exhibitions. I really like this college because they keep things disciplined. To get into B.Teach, you need at least 100 marks in the CEE exam. Your caste might also matter for admission. Plus, there's an option for lateral entry.

Campus: The game section at this college is awesome! They have Wi-Fi all over the campus, even in the hostel. The hostel is really nice and everyone follows the rules. The canteen food is affordable and delicious, plus it's clean and hygienic. Love it here!

Admission: The teachers are really helpful, but some could be better. The course is good, but I'm not sure if it prepares us for the industry. The semester exams are fair and the atmosphere during exams is nice. It's impossible to cheat during exams, which is a good thing.

Placement: Placements here are really disappointing. Not many top companies visit our campus. To even get a shot at a decent INR 3 lakh salary, you'll have to travel to a different district for the interview. Only 2% of students end up getting placed. If you're looking for a college with good placement opportunities, this one isn't it.

Campus: The library is old and doesn't have e-books. The labs aren't that great. The boys' hostel is just a basic place to live, not many good facilities. There's no medical help available. The college gate looks nice but it can't even open properly.

Admission: The teachers here are really great they know their stuff and are super helpful. The teaching quality is good overall. But one thing is, we don't get much chance for industrial training here. The semester exams can be tough, but most students pass with a decent 70% to 80% rate.

Placement: Around 30% of us found jobs after college. The pay was between 4 to 6.5 LPA. Unfortunately, big companies weren't part of the placement scene. But many of us did get internships with cool places like IOCL, ONGC, and ASTC. Some companies like RDC Concrete and TCS hired us based on our grades.

Campus: The engineering department has alright facilities. The labs could use more equipment, and the college buildings are simple. But hey, at least we have Wi-Fi and digital classrooms. The hostel has pretty good facilities, and the food in the mess is not bad at all.

Admission: The teachers at this college are awesome! They're super helpful with any problems you have, whether it's school stuff or personal stuff. They really know their stuff and are great at teaching. If you show up to class on time, you'll do great. The course is really practical and helps you get ready for working in the industry. The exams are not too hard, just average. Most students pass with a 90% success rate.

Placement: I'm glad to say that a lot of students here land jobs in big companies like NRL, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and CRTD Technology every year. The highest salary package is 11 LPA, while the average is 6 LPA. Many of our seniors are now in top positions in MNCs.

Campus: The classrooms at our college are really nice and clean. We've got Wi-Fi all over campus, which is super handy. Plus, our library has tons of books for all our subjects. It's a cool place to study. And the hostel is top-notch too.

Admission: The teachers here are super qualified and they come from APSC. They can be pretty helpful, so it's best not to get on their bad side. The course curriculum is set by ASTU, and it really matches up with what's happening in the real world. But honestly, you'll need a year or two of actual work experience to really be ready for the industry. Practical knowledge is key. Passing each semester isn't too tough - most people get through with 60-70%. Just put in a solid month of studying and you'll be fine. The rules during exams are strict, so make sure you follow them closely.

Placement: The job placements at JIST are getting better gradually. ETC and mechanical departments have good placement opportunities. However, civil engineering students may not have as many options on campus. This year, companies like NRL, IGCL, and Byjus came for placements. It's uncertain what the average salary is for civil engineering placements. But if you're one of the top 2 students from the 4 branches, you might snag an internship abroad.

Campus: The labs and library are okay. They need more books, but they're getting more this year. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel. There are 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels. The food is typical Indian college food. There's a small canteen on campus and a dispensary for emergencies. If you like sports, you can join different sports clubs here.

Admission: The professors in my course are awesome. They know their stuff really well. A lot of them got their M.Tech degrees from IITs and have experience in engineering stuff like surveys, construction, and building. The semesters aren't too bad as long as you keep up with your studies.

Placement: Around 40% of students from my batch got placed in 2022. The top package was 6L per year, the average was 2L per year, and the lowest was 144k per year. Byju's and Infosys were the popular companies for hiring. Most of us got internships from companies like Irrigation, Railway, and Pwd.

Campus: The facilities here are not as good as other engineering colleges in Assam. But there are three buses that take you to college if you live far away. There's a table tennis room and a basketball court on campus. Plus, there's a big field for playing cricket, football, and volleyball. They have three boys' hostels and two girls' hostels here.

Admission: The teachers at our college knew their stuff, but they weren't up-to-date with what's happening in the industry now. They mostly stuck to teaching old technical stuff. This meant we weren't really getting ready for the real world out there. The exams were a breeze because they only asked about a small part of what we learned. Lots of students pass with about 90% making it through. But some who weren't so into it ended up with backlogs.

Placement: Around 40% of us found jobs on campus. In the electronics department, the salary range was between 2 to 7 LPA, with an average of 3 LPA. Companies like Indian Oil, ONGC, and Amul came for placements. Some struggled to get internships here, so they looked for online ones on sites like Internshala. The popular roles offered were assistant developer, management trainee, and software developer trainee.

Campus: The facilities at our college weren't great. There was no Wi-Fi on campus, and classrooms weren't high-tech. The library was okay, but didn't have all the study materials. However, Wi-Fi was available in the hostel, and the food there was good. The canteen served spicy food. Unfortunately, there were no medical facilities on campus. On the bright side, sports and games were well-organized, and there were tough competitions every week.
