Admission: Flow of admission felt organised and calm. Online registration worked well, verification staff clarified queries, and onboarding felt efficient.

Academic: Lady Brabourne College is known as one of the top women's colleges, and its curriculum is relevant since it's affiliated with CU. Our teachers are quite helpful and know their subjects well, but the teaching quality could be much better. Honestly, only about one or two teachers in our department teach properly, and many don't even finish the syllabus on time. Sometimes, teachers just don't seem interested in taking classes, and even when they do, it's hard to understand what they're saying, no matter how bright you are. Since there are no on-campus internships available, it's tough to feel ready for the industry after finishing college. The hostel is just average, and like I said, the faculty might not be the best. But, if you take good tuitions and work hard, you can definitely score good marks. This college still offers more facilities compared to other colleges under CU.

Placement: In my college, specifically for the Mathematics department at Lady Brabourne College, the placement cell is just average. Most of the students here don't sit for placements as they plan to go for higher studies instead. From each batch, only about 12 to 13 students actually try for placements, and out of them, only a maximum of 4 or 5 students get placed. We do have companies like TCS and Cognizant visiting, but the number of students getting hired is small. They usually look for graphic designer roles, which needs you to be good in visual communication and electronic media. The average salary offered is around 30,000 rupees a month. For internships, our college does not provide any for our course; you have to find and apply for them off-campus yourself.

Campus: Overall, our college has pretty good facilities. Our department, which includes Maths, Economics, and Statistics, is in a brand new RC building. The classrooms are all air-conditioned, well-spaced, and kept super clean. We have three classrooms and a maths lab with over 25 computers there. For books, there's a main central library for everyone, plus each department has its own e-library where you can read books digitally. The books collection is good, and you can take out two books at a time. One thing that's not good is the Wi-Fi; it barely works because the connectivity is so poor. Each department has separate washrooms for teachers and students, which is good. Now, about the hostel, its infrastructure isn't that great, and the food quality is very bad, with 3-4 students sharing one room. But outside the hostel, on campus, we have four canteens in total (three on campus and one in the hostel). The canteen food is actually good, healthy, and hygienic. We don't have an infirmary in college. There's a small sports ground where annual sports happen, but not many activities because it's tiny. Still, we get invites from other colleges to join their big sports day events. There's also a complaint box if anyone needs to raise an issue about the campus.

Admission: Entry into Lady Brabourne College felt straightforward. The application was easy, merit list updates were timely, verification was quick, and orientation clarified next steps well.

Academic: Our teachers are good and they teach well. They help us a lot, even giving extra info on subjects. And for exams, they give special notes too. If we have any doubts, there are extra classes to help us clear them. Also, we get slides for all the lessons, which makes understanding easier. The course itself is quite good.

Placement: My college doesn't directly provide us with internships. But they do give us good information on where we can apply, and which companies are open to hiring students like us. You can apply for content writing jobs, and also to big companies like Techno and Infosys. Plus, we often have career counsellors visit from different fields to give us insights about various career options we can pick.

Campus: Our hostel fee here is quite reasonable, not too high for students. The food quality they give us is also up to the mark, like it's good. But one thing is, the health and cleanliness inside the hostel need more attention from the staff. And also, the security of the hostel should definitely be improved a bit.

Admission: Entry process felt mixed at first. Online application had minor issues, but helpline support helped, and campus verification and registration went smoothly later.

Academic: In my department, the teachers are experienced and qualified, most of them even write books and research papers for university. But, having lots of knowledge doesn't always mean someone is a good teacher, and sometimes it's like that here too. Still, the notes some professors give are super useful, they make tough topics clear. Not all teachers give notes though. For Political Science students, Liberal Arts is a very interesting subject, it's so dynamic. It's also super relevant and helps students build careers in teaching, civil services, or law after finishing their studies.

Placement: I'm still studying here, so I don't know much about the placements yet. But this college gives good exposure, that's for sure. Students get a chance to pick career-focused courses which is a great option. The courses they offer are in high demand these days, and you even get a special certificate for them along with your main graduation degree. I think this whole thing is very useful for our future.

Campus: From what I've heard, since I couldn't visit college due to Covid-19, our campus is quite big. It has proper science labs, computer labs, and even a big hostel facility for students. Also, the canteen food is said to be good quality and very easy on the pocket.

Admission: Process at Lady Brabourne College felt clear and well planned. After checking the merit list, the orientation program explained everything well, and timely updates about fees and documents helped a lot.

Academic: Okay, so our syllabus is quite tough, especially in the first and second semesters since we are under the new system. We have to take seven subjects, and let me tell you, none of them are as easy as they look from outside. Because of this, the pass percentage is just thirty percent. On the other hand, our professors are helpful, smart, and they know their stuff. Their teaching is actually very good and helps students grasp the topics. My only concern is that I don't think literature subjects truly make a student ready for the industry.

Placement: In our batch, there are only 21 students. All of us got internship offers from Cry and Webel, which is good as these programs give us a certificate and practical experience. About the course fees, they are quite normal, and the teachers for our subject are also okay. I don't have any idea about the companies that recruit here, and there's no info on highest or lowest salary packages yet.

Campus: Our college has awesome facilities, really, the infrastructure is way better than other places. You know, we even have AC classrooms and our own WiFi connection. The teachers here teach very well, their method is quite good. For books, we have three huge libraries packed with lots of books. And when we get hungry, there are three canteens and a small Nescafe outlet too.

Admission: Route through admission felt structured. Registration for merit list candidates went smoothly, staff clarified every step, and joining felt easy.

Academic: What I like most about our college is the teachers. They are all super educated and know their subjects very well. Every single teacher here has completed their PhD, which is quite impressive. They are always ready to help us whenever we need it and give us proper education and knowledge. Besides studies, they are very enthusiastic and always encourage students to participate in all college activities.

Placement: At our institute, they don't have any engineering courses available. Regarding placements, frankly speaking, no companies actually visit our campus for hiring. Even though the college organises placement drives, students usually end up choosing higher studies instead since there aren't real job opportunities here. The college encourages us to pursue further education.

Campus: Our college has a big campus with good infrastructure. We have a huge playground here, which is nice. The college gives us all the important facilities like Wi-Fi, a big library, and proper laboratories. For our health, medical facilities are also there. Inside the college, we have a very well-decorated common room. Plus, there is a gym on campus, and even a table tennis table for us to play.

Admission: Applying to Lady Brabourne College felt well managed. The application portal worked well, merit list release was punctual, and staff support made registration stress free.

Academic: Lady Brabourne College has good teachers, that's a big plus. Especially in the economics department, the main professors are awesome. They are super friendly, and students can always reach out to them for help, they are always there. These teachers explain every topic super deeply, so if you go to classes regularly and write down notes carefully, half your study is already done. Also, the college does internal exams often to check what students have learned.

Placement: Placements are not there for B.Sc. courses. Mostly, students doing B.Sc. want to study more after finishing their degree, not find a job right away. For some other courses, even though there's a placement department, big or famous companies don't visit for recruiting students.

Campus: At Lady Brabourne College, the facilities are top-notch, probably the best you'll find under Calcutta University. Our campus is quite big, and all the classrooms are very well kept. The canteen is also nice, and the food they serve there is good. Plus, the college hostel is huge, offering a gym and a common room where we can do different activities.

Admission: Course entry at Lady Brabourne College felt simple. Registration and fee payment were easy, verification stayed organised, and counselling updates were clear.

Academic: From my experience, the teaching quality at our college is good. All the teachers are super helpful and highly qualified. Most of them either finished their PhD or are still doing it. Not only the teaching staff, but every single person in the college helps you out. The course curriculum is also very relevant and it totally gets us ready for the industry.

Placement: Most students in my Statistics (Hons) course usually prefer to go for higher studies, so none of us actually got placed from college. I remember there was one big campus drive in our final year, and it was open to all departments. From that, I think maybe English (Hons) students got selected, especially since the job profile was about content writing.

Campus: Our college has two canteens, and food is available there for good prices. My friends who stay in the hostel told me that the foreign students' hostel facilities are great. Also, the infrastructure in our department is very good, with a separate computer lab, a library, and spacious classrooms.

Admission: Outcome of admission felt positive. Online application was easy, merit list came out on time, and staff support during verification helped a lot.

Academic: Our teachers are very supportive and quite friendly. They are enthusiastic and always encourage us in whatever we do. They're also very well educated and always come to class fully prepared. Because of this, they teach us everything properly. They even arrange helpful workshops for us.

Placement: What I see in our college is that there are no job placements. No companies come to visit our campus at all. Placements are not even offered for any department here. Our teachers just tell us to focus on going for higher studies.

Campus: Everything you need is available at our college. We have Wi-Fi, good labs, a big auditorium, medical facilities, and a stationery shop too. The campus here is huge, and the classrooms are very big. Plus, there's a large playground and a super huge common room that has all the gym equipment.

Admission: Path into Lady Brabourne College felt smooth overall. Registration, merit list updates, verification, and orientation followed a clear structure with helpful staff.

Academic: From my experience, the teachers in our college are good, and their teaching quality is top-notch. Our labs are also very easy to use and have all the stuff you need, with teachers always ready to help if you're stuck. Classes run regularly, which is great. I think this is one of the best colleges in Calcutta University, so anyone who gets an opportunity should definitely join here.

Placement: Students here get good marks in their subjects. This helps them pass exams like CET, which is the common admission test, and then they get into big universities for higher studies. Like, many go to IIT KGP, FRI, or Banaras Hindu University (BHU) after studying here. But about placements, no companies come to our college for hiring. So, there are no placements at all from the campus.

Campus: Our classrooms are kept very clean, and the labs here are excellent. For books and study, we have two libraries; one is the main central library and the other is a seminar library, so it's easy to get any book we need. There are three canteens, and the facilities there are good. Medical help is also provided in college. Plus, every year, an annual sports meet is held.

Admission: Joining LBC felt organised at every stage. Online registration, document verification, and counselling followed a clear flow, and regular SMS updates helped with planning.

Academic: Our teachers are good and they care a lot about us passing exams. They help us understand things well and know so much. The semester exams are not that easy, they are a bit hard. But still, about 17 to 18 students out of 21 manage to pass each semester.

Placement: Regarding placements for the B.Sc. Honours course, it's not something you get directly from here. This course is purely focused on Physics, so direct job placements are tough. If you're looking for a job right after graduation, a technical degree from other colleges would be better for placements. After your B.Sc. Honours, you have many options like doing a Masters degree, either from this college or another. There are definitely a lot of paths you can take, but just having a B.Sc. Honours degree alone won't usually get you placed.

Campus: From my experience at Lady Brabourne College, the facilities and infrastructure are good. Since it's a DST-star college, things are much better here compared to most other places. We have modern lab equipment, and Wi-Fi is available for everyone. Classrooms have both AC and non-AC options. The library is also a great spot, full of books we need for our courses. Plus, there are three canteens, and the food there is great. The only downside is the washrooms; they are often smelly and not very clean. But apart from that, the college is very good overall.
