Academic: Our MBBS course curriculum has about 19 subjects, and it feels pretty well balanced. Some departments in the college are good with their faculty, but others totally need to step up and get better. Even though our college is a top one and has a 53-year history, you can't always feel fully satisfied. That's because we have fewer teachers than needed, and the teaching quality isn't always great. The teachers are mostly very helpful and all have MD or MS degrees, showing they're qualified and know a lot. But honestly, some don't seem interested in actually teaching, and just being helpful doesn't make them good teachers if they don't do the teaching part. We do have an average number of professors available. All 19 subjects are super relevant for MBBS and are interesting to learn. Stuff like the pharma path is superb, and some subjects have amazing faculty too. Overall, the subjects are very good to study, like top-notch.

Placement: Our college is quite old, started 53 years ago, and it is known as one of the finest in the country. For us future doctors, getting placed is not an issue at all. Many of our old students are now top surgeons and doctors in different countries. A lot of them also went abroad to study after clearing tough exams like USMLE and PLAB. Plus, many previous students are doing their postgraduation from famous colleges in India, like Maulana Azad Medical College, and some are even at AIIMS. Surgeons here can earn up to 50 LPA, and physicians sometimes even get more money than that.

Campus: In our college, some things are good, but many things need a lot of improvement. The Wi-Fi here is super slow and does not work properly. Classrooms are not up to the mark because windows are broken, and the ACs are just for show, they don't even work. Though some lecture theatres are nice, most of them have poor infrastructure. Labs are a mixed bag; some are well-equipped, but others definitely need to be updated. On the bright side, our library is excellent. Hostel life is a big problem here; rooms are very dirty, and the toilets are broken, with some not even having doors. There's no one to clean, and nobody seems to care about hygiene. Mess food is also a big letdown; even with many messes, not a single one provides good quality food. The new canteen looks good, but the food prices are way too high. I wish the government would check on this, especially since it is a sarkari canteen. But for sports, everything is superb and well-organized; our college is like a hub for all kinds of games.

Academic: Here, students get to see so many patients, which means we learn a lot practically. The teachers are very experienced too, and their teaching ways are good. Exams can be tough, but they actually help us understand things better and learn many life lessons. Almost 95% of students pass every year, but you need to put in effort for that.

Placement: When it comes to MBBS, campus placements are not a thing for students. You can just join any hospital you prefer. There is also an option to work at the government hospital which is connected to our college. This hospital provides all the basic facilities you need. The pay scale they offer is quite decent too. A great part is that you get to learn so many new things directly from the patients.

Campus: You'll find the hostels here are pretty good. We also have a central library with Wi-Fi on campus, plus a stadium and a football ground. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and AC. Labs are good too, and all the materials you need are there. For food, there are around 15 mess facilities, and they all offer good quality food. Plus, college fests are organized every year, which is always fun.

To pass the semesters, you definitely need good attendance and to study hard, putting in effort throughout the year. Most students pass easily; like, out of a batch of 150, only about 5-10 people usually don't clear it. Exams were always conducted on time and everything was very organized. The 4th year was quite hectic though, with lots of clinical postings and lectures, and it felt tougher compared to other semesters. After getting your MBBS, you can go for higher studies to become a specialist like a surgeon, a child doctor, or a radiologist.

Placement: After we finished MBBS, getting a non-academic resident job was quite easy for my batch, which had 150 students back in 2015. You could find work anywhere in the state, in both government and private hospitals. The starting salary was usually good, like around 60,000 to 70,000 rupees a month. Some even went to Delhi hospitals where they could earn 1 lakh or more every month. Besides jobs, a lot of students decided to go for post-graduation and had to clear the NEET PG all India exam for that.

Campus: The infrastructure here is quite good, both for the college and the hospital. Our college is well-equipped, with enough lecture halls and labs for everyone. We even got a big, newly built library which is great. About the hostel, it got renovated two years back, so all the wiring is new, and washrooms too. Rooms are usually spacious for one student, but sometimes they put two students in one room, and that makes it pretty congested.

Placement: Our college is very reputed and well-known in the list of West UP medical colleges. For each MBBS batch, we have 100 students here. The college focuses on giving us practical knowledge, which is super helpful. We even have separate labs for anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.

Campus: We have special labs here for practical learning, they focus on us gaining knowledge. The MBBS course is like, five and a half years long, and one year of that is internship. We study about 19 subjects in total. Also, there is a central library where we get free Wi-Fi.

Overall, because of all this, there's a good environment for studying here.

Placement: Everyone here gets an internship with a stipend. Also, almost all students easily get placed. The highest salary package offered was around 1.2 LPA, and most students get an average package of about 1 LPA. But there's a compulsory two-year bond you have to serve, or you can pay 10 lakh rupees to the government to break it.

Campus: In our college, the hostel rooms are just okay, like average. First-year students share a room with one more person, so it's a 2-seater. But after the first year, from second year onwards, everyone gets a single room for themselves. One big problem is there's no Wi-Fi available there. Our college itself is quite old, so the buildings and other stuff also look old. But for an old college, its infrastructure is still good, better than some other old colleges.

Placement: At our college, almost all of us get to do our internship right in the hospital where we study, which is pretty convenient. During the internship, they give around 7200 rupees as salary here in UP, and honestly, it feels quite worthy. The main role you get during your MBBS years is definitely as an intern. Now, about jobs after college, it's a bit different. Only about 0.3% of students who came from NEET-UG get placed. For what you earn after MBBS, like your salary package, nobody can say for sure because it totally depends on the clinic you join and how good your skills are.

Campus: Our college infrastructure is actually pretty good. Some buildings are brand new, and some are about 50 years old, but all the facilities are above average and everything works fine. We don't have Wi-Fi yet, but honestly, it's not needed here. Coming to the hostel, the rooms are quite enough, and the environment is healthy. The food is edible, though we all know homemade food is always the best.

Placement: When it comes to jobs after medical school, our college, like most medical colleges, doesn't have campus placements because it's not how things work in this field. Most of the students here focus on preparing for PG entrance exams, and a good number of them get through, which is great. If someone decides not to go for PG right away, they can usually find work as a junior doctor, like a non-PG jr, right here in the college's own hospital or at other hospitals nearby. The salary for this is typically between 60k and 70k rupees.

Campus: Our classrooms and library are new, with modern infrastructure, and the library even has Wi-Fi for us. The college itself is quite old, over fifty years, so some of the main buildings are not very good. But still, all the lab facilities are provided well. Hostels are old right now, but good news is new hostels are being built.

You can get a lot of help from all the teachers, but how much you actually gain from them is totally up to you.

Placement: In my batch, we have 100 students studying together. It's good that everyone can get a job right here in our medical college after finishing, if they want. For MBBS, there's no fixed average salary package like other courses; you need to get certified to start practicing. Our college is way better than other private ones because it gives more value and the fees are less also.

Campus: For food, you'll find it's quite good here, and the best part is there are multiple messes available. You just pay for what you eat according to your needs. We also have a library with fast WiFi. The hostel rooms aren't in the best condition, but honestly, you can manage and adjust to them easily.

Academic: Our teachers at this government medical college are great. They help us a lot with studies and also how we grow. The professors are super good and clear all our doubts easily. Plus, exams happen properly on time and all courses always follow the schedule given to us.

Placement: In my MBBS course, we get to learn all the theoretical things and also practice a lot. The best part, honestly, is giving our all to save people's lives. I think being a doctor is one of the best jobs in the world. We don't need placements for MBBS because we directly go to provide service in hospitals.

Campus: For a government medical college, our infra is not super good, you know, but it's totally manageable. All the important facilities are there, and everything works fine. This is super important because the 5.5-year medical course is a long journey, right? So, overall, I think it's good!

Placement: I'm happy with my college, Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College. This is a government medical college, and it's connected to Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut. I'm doing my MBBS here from the 2023 batch, and I feel so lucky and thankful that I got admitted here. LLRMMC is awesome at making good doctors, so my studies and the practical experience in the hospital are super brilliant. The fifth year is our internship year, and we do it right inside the college hospital. We also get a stipend of Rs. 17,000 every month during this time.

Campus: LLRMMC has nice facilities for students. The classrooms are modern, with projectors, whiteboards, and blackboards for teaching. Labs are also very advanced and have all the resources you need to learn practical stuff. Our central library is fully air-conditioned and comes with Wi-Fi for both undergrad and postgrad students. It has tons of useful books and research papers. The hostel building is good and reliable since this is an old college in UP, and they're even building a new one now. Mess food is decent, and the canteen is clean and good. We have grounds for both outdoor and indoor sports. Also, the medical facilities are good here, including emergency services.
