MIE - Scholarships Overview

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship | Designed for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, with a grant of INR 5000 per month awarded to eligible students. |
Aikyashree Scholarship | For high-achieving students from Minority (Buddhist, Jain, Christian, Muslim, Parsee & Sikh) with West Bengal Domicile. The family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000. |
Kanyashree Scholarship | Targeted towards girls aged 18-19 who are residents of West Bengal, enrolled and regularly attending an academic institution, and unmarried. A one-time grant of INR 25,000 is provided. |
AICTE Pragati & Saksham Scholarship | Specially for girl students and differently-abled students. It provides a Tuition Fee of INR 30,000 or at actual, and INR 2000 for 10 months as incidental charges. |
AICTE Swanath Scholarship | Open to orphans or those whose one/both parents died due to COVID-19 or children of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action. The family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000. |
Zindal Scholarship | A private scholarship scheme by the “Sitaram Jindal Foundation” for Engineering UG and PG Courses. The scholarship amounts to INR 2300 (UG Boys), INR 2000 (UG Girls), INR 3200 (PG Boys), and INR 2800 (PG Girls) Per Month. |
MIE - Eligibility Criteria
Each scholarship comes with its own set of eligibility criteria. For instance, the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship requires the student to have secured UG(Engg.) with 60% in 10+2, and PG (Engg.) with 55% marks in graduation. On the other hand, the Aikyashree Scholarship requires the student to have scored a minimum of 50% in their qualifying exam. For the Kanyashree Scholarship, the applicant's family income must not exceed INR 1,20,000 per annum, but exceptions are made for specially-abled girls or those living under special circumstances. The Zindal Scholarship demands that boys and girls candidates secure 65% and 60% respectively in their qualifying exams.
