Admission: Going through state-level counselling for Nalanda Medical College felt systematic. After my name appeared on the merit list, document verification was efficient, registration was hassle-free, and staff instructions kept the process smooth.

Academic: Our teachers here are qualified and know their subjects well. The teaching quality is good, but how much you get from it often depends on you, the student. The course curriculum is totally relevant and follows what NMC has set out. If you keep up with your studies regularly, the semester exams will be easy. Otherwise, they can be quite difficult. To pass, you need to score 50%.

Placement: So, for the MBBS course, my batch from the 2020-21 session had 150 students. This entire course is for 5.5 years, and that time also covers one year of internship. During the internship, you gotta work in hospitals, usually for like 8-10 hours a day. After you finish, the salary can be good, often more than 10 LPA. But yeah, how much you earn and how well you do in this field depends on your skills, how much you know, and your work experience.

Campus: This college is one of the oldest in Bihar, it started way back in 1969-70. We have good infrastructure here, and Wi-Fi is available which is a big plus. The campus also has a canteen and medical facilities, plus a playground for sports. Although the hostel facilities are below average, the food quality in the hostel mess is actually good.

Placement: Internships are a big part of medical courses here, since direct placements are not something we usually have. A lot of students, like 90 to 95%, get their internships right at this hospital. For the intern doctors, there's a stipend of Rs. 20,000. After they finish the internship, they can go work in any hospital or private clinic they choose. So yeah, pretty much all students get to do an internship.

Campus: At our college, the mess food is actually good, that's a positive point. But honestly, the overall infrastructure is not great, and the facilities here are not up to mark. Wi-Fi is a big problem; it's not available everywhere on campus. Our labs are decent, but they don't look very attractive. Also, classrooms don't have microphones, which can be an issue sometimes. First-year students can't access the library or even get a hostel room. What's worse, sometimes even second-year students don't get a hostel, so finding a place to stay can be tough.

Semester exams are usually just moderate, so most students pass them easily. If some students find it a bit hard, teachers help them out during the exams. Classes are taught using projectors, and blackboards are also used by teachers if needed.

Placement: Being a medical college, we dont have those typical placements like other colleges. Instead, all students get jobs in different medical roles. People become doctors, nurses, or other medical staff after graduation. Getting to be an MD doctor is like the top role for us here.

Campus: Our college building might be old, but it's super well-maintained and gives off a nice vibe. Inside, we have good facilities like AC classrooms and free Wi-Fi, plus a library that's always kept neat. For security, the whole college campus is covered by CCTV cameras. Also, the hostel facilities are very well looked after.

For this internship, students get a good amount of Rs. 27,000 per month. Once this internship is done, you have to appear for the NEET PG exam. This exam is essential if you want to join postgraduate courses to specialize in fields like surgery, medicine, or even obstetrics and gynecology.

Campus: At our college, every subject has its own separate department, which is helpful. When it comes to Wi-Fi, you can find it in the library and also in the hostel areas, but unfortunately, it's not available in the classrooms. We have two main hostels here, NBH and NNBH. Just so you know, NBH is older and not kept as well, while NNBH is much more advanced. For food, boys and girls have separate mess facilities. In the boys' hostel specifically, there are three different messes, and a single plate of food costs about 40 rupees.

Campus: Our college has good facilities overall. The hostel is always neat and clean, and the food they serve there is super delicious and healthy too. We also have a very big hospital attached to the college, which is great for all kinds of medical help, including surgeries and diagnostic tests. Plus, the library is gigantic, packed with all sorts of medical books you could ever need.
