Admission: The teachers know their stuff, but not all of them try hard to help us understand. Some just go through the slides without really caring. The course hasn't changed in 20 years, so it's not very up-to-date with what's happening in the industry. You have to work extra to stay relevant. The exams are easy, with light workloads. You can even study for them in the last week. Almost everyone passes without a problem.
Placement: I'm an ECE student and our college is great for IT placements. Big companies like Microsoft and Goldman Sachs hire students from here. We also get chances for hardware and consulting roles. Most IT companies coming to campus let ECE students participate in placements. Some companies focus on hardware, but they pay less. The placement process usually includes an online test, technical interview, and HR interview.
Campus: The medical facilities are just okay. Sometimes they don't have all the medicines, so you have to buy them elsewhere. Sometimes the doctors aren't around or aren't great. Mess food is nice, but it can vary depending on which hall you're in. If you're hungry, there are lots of places to eat within a 2 km radius of the campus. The sports facilities are cool. Each hostel has a volleyball and badminton court. Plus, we've got two big playgrounds for cricket and football called Lords and Ovals.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and know their stuff well. They're qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching is good. Durgapur is great for finding core jobs since it's an industrial area. Exams can be tough, especially the end-term ones, but the mid-terms are more manageable. Most students pass, with about 80% success rate.
Placement: In our year, we have 190 students in our course. The average salary package is 11 LPA. Companies like Bajaj and PWC come for recruitment. Some students even scored internships at Reliance in mechanical and other departments. The workshop sessions really help understand the theory classes better.
Campus: The hostels have Wi-Fi, but the classrooms don't. However, the computer lab has Wi-Fi. During exams, the library stays open longer. The classrooms and some labs have AC, which is nice. The hostel facilities are good, but there's no night canteen or washing machine. The sports facilities are good too, with indoor sports equipment available.

Admission: The teachers here are really smart with their PhDs. They're super helpful too. Exams can be tough, but most students pass with flying colors, as long as they study for theory, practicals, and projects.
Placement: The job opportunities here are great with an 85% placement rate. The highest salary offered is around 50 LPA, while the lowest is around 6 LPA. Big companies like Google, Amazon, Wipro, Samsung, and Cognizant come for placements and internships. Students can earn around Rs. 10,000 to 15,000 per month, which is awesome!
Campus: The Wi-Fi here is super fast in all the labs and around campus. The library is huge with lots of books. The food in the mess includes plenty of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Plus, there's a common area for medical and sports stuff.

Admission: The Biotechnology professors are really helpful. The teaching is good overall. But, the course curriculum could do better at preparing us for the industry. Exams are usually not too hard. And, most students pass to move on to the next semester.
Placement: I'm in this course, and 55% of my classmates already got placed. The highest salary offered is 19 LPA, while the lowest is 3.5 LPA. On average, it's 4 LPA. Companies like Accenture, TCS, ZS Associate, GreyB, and Physics Wallah hire a lot of students from here. Many of us did internships at different IITs, and one student even went to the US for an internship. The most common job roles we get are SDE, analyst, and management positions.
Campus: The college has good infrastructure, but the Wi-Fi can be unreliable and sometimes the water supply gets cut off without warning. The hostel rooms don't have AC, and in some classes, even the fans don't work. The food isn't great for girls, but boys get better meals. The college rules seem to favor boys more, as they have more freedom compared to girls who face more restrictions.

Admission: The teachers are really nice and friendly. They know their stuff and the course is spot on. The exams aren't too hard, just stay focused in class and you'll be fine.
Placement: NIT Durgapur has good placements with lots of top companies hiring students. The process starts in the seventh semester or July for final-year students. Companies come for talks and tests. In 2023, the college had an 84.66% placement rate for B.Tech students. The highest package was 70 LPA, and the average was 13.62 LPA.
Campus: The college has everything you need like Wi-Fi, labs, and a library. The place looks great and is always clean. The food in the mess is good, but they only offer three meals. In the first year, the girls' hostel doesn't have a lot of variety, though.

Admission: The teachers here are really helpful and easy to reach when you need help. Some teachers could be better, though. I'm doing B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing, which is a great course for today's competitive job market. It's not too hard to find internships and jobs with just basic knowledge. The semester exams are fair, and you just need a GPA above 5 to pass.
Placement: I heard that almost 85% of students here get jobs every year. The Math and Computing course is new, so there's no info on salaries yet. Big companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, and others come for placements.
Campus: The labs, classrooms, and library have great service. The hostel always has electricity, 24/7. The rooms are clean and hygienic. The food in the mess is tasty and healthy. They serve three meals a day. Each room in the hostel fits 3 people. First-year students get their own separate hostels.

Admission: The professors at this college are awesome! They really know their stuff and are super helpful. The course content is good too. They update it regularly to keep it up-to-date. Exams are usually not too hard to pass, but if you want a high grade, you gotta really understand the material.
Placement: Last year, most students got placed around 84%. The best offer was 70 LPA, and the average was 13 LPA. A total of 746 jobs were up for grabs. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Samsung, Adobe, Amazon, Axis Bank, and Oracle hired students.
Campus: The college has great facilities for each department. The labs, classrooms, and libraries are all air-conditioned. The labs have all the necessary machines. The hostels are good, but the mess food quality in some hostels is not great. The medical facilities could use some improvement in terms of equipment.

Admission: The professors here are super qualified and really helpful. They teach in a way that's easy to understand. The courses are spot on for training us to be great engineers. But man, the exams are tough! You need at least 35% to pass theory and 50% for the practical lab exams.
Placement: I'm in the ECE department, and I gotta say, this batch is top-notch. The placement rate is impressive - over 95%! The highest salary offered is 60 LPA, with an average of 20 LPA and the lowest at 8 LPA. About half of us snag internships too. Big names like Microsoft, Reliance, and Tata show up for campus placements. It's a great place to be for sure!
Campus: Each branch has its own department on campus. We get free Wi-Fi 24/7, and there are digital classrooms too. The Central Library is huge and awesome for students. We have 17 hostels, and mine is really nice with free Wi-Fi and great food. There are also two big sports grounds with lots of equipment provided by the college. Love the sports facilities here!

Admission: The curriculum got a refresh in 2023 and it's much better now. I met some really nice and helpful faculty members, but there are also some who aren't that great and aren't liked by many students. The important thing is that all the teachers are qualified. Even though the curriculum changed, learning about ecology and engineering graphics in the first year for non-mechanical students feels like a waste of time. The semester exams are kinda tough, but not impossible. The pass rate is okay.
Placement: I'm glad I chose this college over others. The placement rate is pretty good, around 70-75%. Big companies like Apple, Microsoft, and PepsiCo hire students. The highest salary offered was 80 LPA. Almost everyone gets internships too, especially in fields like chemical engineering at places like Bharat Petroleum. It's worth it to work hard here!
Campus: The campus facilities are really good. The hostels are top-notch, especially for first and second-year students. The new academic building, main academic building, and department buildings are all great. The Wi-Fi is okay, not the best though. The labs are well-equipped but kinda old and need some fixing up. Classrooms are awesome, with good air conditioning, and the library is cool too. The hostel rooms are really nice. The food in the mess varies a lot in quality, though.

Admission: Some teachers here aren't very friendly or helpful. They know their stuff, but they don't always explain it well. The classes are decent but could be better. The tests are not too hard. If you study hard, you can get good grades.
Placement: I'm a junior studying Chemical Engineering. Companies like L&T, Reliance, HPCL, BPCL, and PwC hire students from our department. So far, 53% of us have already got jobs. Internship options are a bit limited, though.
Campus: The Wi-Fi in the department is there, but students can't use it. If you use Jio, you might struggle with the network inside. The labs and classes are just okay, nothing special. The hostel has Wi-Fi though. The food in the mess isn't great. There are some games you can play in the hostel too.
