NIT Hamirpur offers various scholarships and financial aid programs to assist the students with different socio-economic backgrounds, taking into consideration their merits and economic needs. The major scholarships are Top Class Education for students of SC/ST where full tuition fee and monthly allowances are given and also Merit-cum-Means for the students belonging to minority communities with family incomes less than INR 2.5 lakh.

NIT Hamirpur Scholarship: Application Process

Students interested in these scholarships should visit the official website of NIT Hamirpur to fill in the online application form. Remember, the scholarship will only be awarded post selection. Here is the detailed application process.

  • Check eligibility on category (SC/ST/OBC/Minority), income and academic performance.
  • Find government notices on the NIT Hamirpur web site or scholarship web portals (e.g. NSP).
  • Apply and register online by the corresponding portal (e.g., scholarships.gov.in).
  • Post documents such as income certificate, caste certificate, bonafide, marksheets, bank details and so on.
  • Get the application in before the deadline.
  • Application and documents will be verified by institute.
  • Final verification is after approval by State/Central authorities.
  • The amount of scholarship is transferred in the candidates'' bank account through DBT.
