NMIMS School of Design Reviews & Ratings 2026 – Authentic Student Feedback

Admission: The teachers here are awesome! They really help us out and show us the way. The classes are cool, and they get us ready for the real world. Exams are tough, but you can learn a lot from both the in-house and outside teachers who know their stuff from working in the industry.

Placement: I'm really happy with the placements at our college. Everyone gets placed, which is great. The highest salary offered is 20 LPA, while the lowest is 6 LPA. Companies like Walmart, PWC, and some startups hire a lot of students. Almost all of us got internships, and many got PPOs from their internships. It's a good feeling knowing we have these opportunities waiting for us after graduation.

Campus: I love all the facilities our college offers, like the 3D printer and laser cutter. The workshop is great for learning and doing assignments with tools like table saws. Plus, we get our own lockers and four studios. The interactive space is awesome too, with speaker sessions that help us build our careers.

Admission: The course curriculum is really cool and covers a lot of interesting stuff like design research, web design, and more. The professors are awesome and have a lot of experience in the industry. They help us a lot. We even get to show our projects to industry pros and get feedback from them. It's a great way to learn and grow as a student.

Placement: Most students in our college got jobs. Our batch, 2019-2023, is now in the fourth year. We have to do internships in companies during this year. Almost everyone lands paid internships for 5 months in big companies like Walmart, MSCI, PWC, and more.

Campus: Our college has four cool studio classrooms where we learn in different batches. We also have a library for studying. I love the workshop and tinkering labs because we get to do fun experiments and work on creative projects. The classrooms are big and perfect for group work. The labs have all the tools we need for making prototypes. Plus, we can use Wi-Fi all day long. And when we're hungry, there are lots of canteen choices on campus.

Admission: The teachers at SOD are really good and always ready to help. They act more like mentors, giving us feedback and guidance. But it's up to us to make the most of it. The course curriculum is great and gives us lots of chances to learn. Instead of written exams, we do submissions for the Term-end examinations (TEE) at the end of each semester.

Placement: I graduated in 2022, and I'm thrilled that all of us got placed with a cool Rs 80,000 stipend. Companies like Deloitte, Axis Bank, and PwC come every year to hire us. The course really focuses on getting us ready for jobs and internships. From what I've seen, most of us end up leaning towards UI/UX by the end of the program.

Campus: The NMIMS SOD campus is on the 6th floor of the Mithibai Building. It's got good Wi-Fi, clean washrooms, and labs with 3D printing. The classrooms have lockers and smartboards. Design schools are busy, and we're usually there until 7-8 p.m., so it feels like a second home. I haven't stayed in the hostel yet.

Admission: The teachers are really good at what they do in all the modules. They know their stuff and have done cool things in their fields. They push you to do your best by being tough on grades. The course covers a lot about different design areas in the first two years. This helps you figure out what you want to focus on in your third year.

Placement: I graduated from NMIMS SOD in 2023, and I'm thrilled to say that all my classmates got great jobs after. The school really cares about making sure we have opportunities after we graduate. Some students even got really high-paying jobs, with the best one being at 20 LPA. On average, most of us got jobs at around 10.8 LPA, which shows how well the school prepares us for the working world. It's a great feeling to know that I have a bright future ahead thanks to my school.

Campus: The Wi-Fi at NMIMS SOD works well everywhere, just some sites like Pinterest and Instagram are blocked. We have labs for things like woodworking and high-tech machinery. There's also a tinkering lab with 3D printers and laser engraving machines. The library lets us see what books are available and even borrow from other NMIMS campuses for free. The classrooms have AC, but not much sunlight. The 9-story Mithibai Building where the School of Design is located has canteens on almost every floor, so getting food and drinks is easy.

Admission: I really liked how the college had both in-house and outside teachers. The outside ones had real-world experience, which was cool. They also brought in guest speakers who shared some really interesting stuff. The design course covered everything from research to testing with users. We even learned about registering designs and protecting them with copyrights. And on top of all that, they taught us about the business side of design, like marketing and selling our work. It was a well-rounded program that prepared us for the real world.

Placement: Getting internships from our college is pretty much guaranteed almost all of us have landed one. A bunch of us even got Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) from companies. Usually, we end up as UI/UX Designers or Product Designers. In our last year, there's a cool internship module that's part of the course. It gives us a taste of the industry and lets us get our hands dirty with real experience.

Campus: I study at the college on the 6th floor of UPG College. They've got everything we need, like a workshop with cool machines like 3D printers and a laser cutter. We even have a lab just for testing our designs. Plus, we can use the NMIMS Library and hit up the canteens at NMIMS and Mithibai campus. It's pretty awesome here!

Admission: I really like NMIMS School of Design's curriculum. It's cool because we learn by actually doing stuff. The curriculum covers a lot of skills like product design, UI design, coding, VR, and more. It gets us ready for jobs like UI/UX designer, interaction designer, and innovation designer. The teachers have different backgrounds and are super helpful. They're always there to guide us. The exams are interesting because we present our work to a jury who checks it based on certain criteria. It's a great way to learn design!

Placement: Most students from my batch (2017-2021) landed jobs through the placements program. They got offered salaries ranging from 7 to 7.5 LPA by companies like Deloitte, LearningMate, The Minimalist, VMLY & R, and LearningMate Solutions. It was great to see so many of us getting placed in good companies!

Campus: The college has great facilities like libraries, workshops, laser cutting machines, and 3D printers. Plus, there's Wi-Fi everywhere. You can easily find hostels or paying guest places nearby with good facilities for a decent price.

Admission: The teachers are really nice and always ready to help. There are around 25-26 students in each class, so they can pay attention to everyone. The mentoring they give us for assignments is great for improving our skills. They encourage us to think creatively and do our best. The curriculum is cool because it mixes design with psychology, sociology, and business. This helps us see things from different angles. It's made in a way that makes us more creative, quick, and improves our observation skills. They even bring in pros from the industry to judge our exams. This helps us learn what's expected and get feedback from the real world.

Placement: I'm really happy to share that NMIMS School of Design's first batch of 2021 got 100% placements. Despite the tough times, the school has kickstarted our careers by placing us in top companies like Deloitte, VMLY&R, and Axis Bank. They even set us up with NGO interactions and 6-month industry internships to help us understand what skills we need to succeed in the industry. These opportunities make us feel confident and ready for the real world.

Campus: The college has 4 studio classrooms for different groups, a builders sanctum, and tinkering labs for students to be creative. The labs have tools and machines for prototyping and experimenting with materials. The atmosphere is welcoming and students can move around freely and work in groups. We have Wi-Fi all day and several canteens to choose from during breaks. It's a great place to design and explore!

Admission: The course covers interesting topics, but there's not enough time to really dive into them, especially when it comes to software skills. The modules are too short, so we can't go deeper into our learning during class. Some faculty are good at what they do, but not great at teaching. It would be better if we had teachers who are good at both, so we can learn more.

Placement: Some seniors got cool jobs at Walmart and Deloitte with awesome salaries. I haven't really gotten to know many seniors because we're all swamped with our own stuff. The new students will finish their final project soon and then start hunting for jobs after graduation.

Campus: The facilities here are decent. They keep them clean and tidy when we're not using them. But getting access to all the facilities can be a hassle. You need a lot of people's permission and there are long procedures. Sometimes, if the teachers aren't around to check their email, our projects can get delayed. This mostly affects the Builder's Sanctum, 3D printers, UT Labs, and tools.

Admission: The teachers at SOD are really friendly and knowledgeable. They guide us well and help us think quickly. The courses are tough but it helps us learn new things. They teach us by giving us problems to solve, which is a great way to learn.

Placement: Our college is still in the third year of this course, and no one has graduated yet. But we get to learn a lot from industry pros who come to give talks. They share their experiences and teach us some modules too. It's cool to get real-life insights from them. In the third year, we have to do a one-month internship with an NGO. And in the fourth year, we do a longer internship based on what we're interested in. It's a great way to get hands-on experience in our field.

Campus: The campus has great facilities for all four years. There are different spaces like a builders' area for power tools, a lab for group work, a lab for making things quickly, and a lab for testing products. It's all set up really well!

Admission: I really like how our college teaches us through hands-on projects. We learn things like product design, UI & UX design, coding, and more by actually doing them. The teachers are super friendly and smart. They're always there to help us out and guide us. Instead of regular exams, we have these cool presentations where we show our work to a group of teachers, and they give us feedback based on certain criteria. It's a different way of learning, but I think it's pretty cool!

Placement: I loved studying at NMIMS SOD because they help us get jobs easily. The average salary is 6LPA, but some students even get 20.8LPA! Companies like Walmart, JCB, Parallax, Axis Bank, EY, Deloitte, and many startups want to hire us from NMIMS School Of Design. It's great to know we have good job opportunities after graduation.

Campus: I love how our college has so many cool resources like a library, 3D printers, and laser cutters. The workshop is stocked with all kinds of tools, which really helps with our projects. Plus, there's lots of food choices on campus. And if you're coming from out of town, there are plenty of hostels and guest houses nearby, all within a short distance. It's super convenient!
