Admission: Admission to Osmania Medical College involved several counselling rounds. Online registration was simple, but document verification had long queues. Even then, staff were helpful from merit list checks to final fee payment. Clearer date communication would have helped more.

Academic: The course curriculum here is really good, it is very relevant and makes students industry-ready with different skills. Our teachers are also super helpful, not like in other government colleges where they just follow the book. They actually give us info from so many sources. Semester exams can be a bit tough sometimes, but if you just study for a month before, it is easy to pass. In our batch, only 22 students failed out of 250.

Placement: In our college, all 250 students will get an internship opportunity for sure. It is actually compulsory for all 250 of us to complete one full year of internship. And yeah, since medical colleges in India do not offer placements, our college also does not have any placements. But the good thing is, they give 25000 rupees every month for this internship.

Campus: In our college, we have lots of facilities for students. There's Wi-Fi everywhere and classrooms all have projectors, which is great for studies. The library is huge and has different reading rooms for boys and girls. For first-year students, the hostel is a bit messy, but from the second year, it gets very clean. Food quality is like other colleges, nothing special, but our college canteen is really good. Since it's a medical college, we don't need to worry about medical help at all. Plus, there is a very big ground where we can play sports.

Academic: All our teachers here are super qualified, some of them are even doctors. They can teach us many different subjects very well. The course syllabus is also very current and relevant. But, passing the semester exams is not easy because the passing percentage is 100%.

Placement: Honestly, after MBBS, there are no direct job placements that our college helps with. To get ahead, everyone has to clear the PG entrance exam. But the college does have paid internships for students in their final year. These internships are super useful because you get to learn a lot of practical stuff. Overall, this institute is a really great spot to prepare well for your PG exams.

Campus: Our college buildings are quite old, so the infrastructure really needs a good renovation. Other facilities, like the labs, classrooms, and library, are actually pretty decent though. The hostel has some different rules, especially for first-year students. You might face problems initially because you have to stay with around 20 students in one room. But good thing is, from the second year onwards, this problem gets sorted. And about the hostel food, it's not bad at all.

Placement: About job opportunities here, there are no direct placements from our college. However, everyone has to do a one-year internship, it's compulsory. The stipend we get during this internship is pretty low, only Rs. 10,000 each month. Other government colleges usually give around Rs. 25,000 monthly, so it's a big difference. Once you finish your course, you can work as an MBBS doctor anywhere in India or you can choose to study further and go for a postgraduate degree.

Campus: Our college hostel has clean rooms, with options for both double-B.Ed. and single-B.Ed. spaces. Inside, our library is really peaceful and stocks almost all the books and magazines medical students require. You get three meals daily at the mess, and they even serve tea with snacks in the evening. While PGs and rented rooms are around the college, just know they are quite expensive.

Because Delhi is a big city, we get good exposure to different industries too.

Placement: So, about placements in medical colleges, it's not like other courses. We don't have direct campus placements here. After we finish our course, everyone has to do a one-year internship. Then, you need to clear the PG entrance exam to get into MD or MS. Our institute is one of the best medical colleges in our country, and because of that, our PG results are really good. Every year, about four or five students from here manage to get a good branch in MD or MS at top colleges like AIIMS, MAMC, or KGMU. For the internship, we get a stipend of 23,000 INR, which is the same amount paid by other centrally affiliated colleges.

Campus: From my experience, our college attracts many of the best students from East India, so you will definitely find good competition here. We have proper academic setup with three separate lecture theaters and a dedicated building for professional exams. The lab facilities might not be top-notch, but they're good enough for you to learn everything without any problems. Our college's infrastructure is always improving, though it's still not the absolute best. For accommodation, we have 4 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels. Plus, a new 7-story boys hostel is also being built right now. The main boys hostel has Wi-Fi, but the new boys hostel doesn't have that yet. Food quality in the boys hostels is generally good, sometimes just average. Good news is, the main boys hostel (MBH) got renovated recently and looks totally new now. Rooms there are big and shared by three, two, or four students. There is a small problem with the canteen at the new boys hostel, but the main boys hostel's canteen food is very satisfactory and you can easily go there. One thing we miss is a playground for outdoor games, but don't worry, we do have indoor games like table tennis and carrom.

Placement: In our course, placements are quite good, around 70-75% of students get placed. And for internships, almost everyone gets one, more than 90-95% students for sure. Talking about salary, the highest package someone got was 3 lakh, and the average package is usually around 2.5 lakh. Recruiting companies? Well, it's mostly all the hospitals connected to Osmania.

Campus: In my college, the lecture halls are super big, enough space for lots of students. Also, each department has its own lab with good facilities. Just recently, they started giving Wi-Fi on campus, which is very useful. The library here is really good, it has all the books and info you could want. Hostel facilities are nice, and the food they serve is also good. Plus, we have medical, sports, and games facilities available.

If you clear that, you become eligible for PG admissions in different colleges through the counseling system.

Campus: In my college, all the teachers are very qualified, everyone is a doctor here. The classrooms are very spacious, and the labs are enough even for the huge number of students we have. Sports get a lot of importance because we have huge playgrounds. Hostels are not very luxurious, but the food is very good.

During this time, we are posted to different departments like SPM, medicine, surgery, and OB-GYN. We have to do things like giving injections, prescribing treatments, attending rounds, and even surgeries.

Campus: Talking about our college, the infrastructure is really good. It has a big library and the classrooms are also nice. For first-year students, hostel facilities are not available, which is important to know. The food here is quite good since it's on the main campus, which is a plus point. Also, the medical labs are well-equipped. The college's terms and conditions are fair too.

Plus, there are small tests when we complete a section and also informative assessments to help us learn better.

Placement: In this college, after you finish MBBS, there isn't really a fixed placement system. Getting a job mostly depends on how you do in your PG entrance exam. Good thing is, since our college is pretty good, preparing for that PG entrance becomes much simpler. Oh, and the 1-year internship you have to do after 4 and a half years of studying is actually paid.

Campus: Our hostel rooms get better each year you study here. For example, first-year students stay in a big dorm with about 25 to 30 other people. But by second year, only 4 or 5 students share a single room. About the main building, it's pretty old, so it doesn't feel super strong, but don't worry, it's not going to fall down or anything.

Placement: Here our college has a great internship program. It's for one year, right in the final year of our course, and all students get to do it. We get to practice in many different hospitals during this time. The college works with other medical colleges to set all this up for us. They also give a good stipend, like 20K to 25K every month while we are doing the internship. If you finish this internship well, finding a job later is quite easy.

Campus: Our college campus is really big and spacious, which is great. For anyone who loves sports, there are many games you can play like football, volleyball, and even badminton. They have separate badminton courts for boys and girls too. Also, everyone has to stay in the hostel, it's compulsory for all students.

Academic: About the teachers here, honestly, not every professor is super good at teaching. Some teachers are really great, you could call them legendary, but others can be a bit boring in class. A big loss for us was when Dr. Swapan Kumar Saha, who was one of the best anatomy teachers in East India, retired recently. Because of this, it feels like we have only a few professors left whose teaching is truly amazing now. But the student-faculty ratio is good, so you do not need to worry about that. And if you ever miss a dissection class, you can always catch up and practice by yourself later.

Placement: In our college, all 4th-year students must do their internship first. This internship is for 6 months. Then, after that, you can choose to do house staffing for another 6 months, but that's not compulsory. Most of us then prepare for the NEET PG exam if we want to do a specialisation. The NEET PG test includes all 23 subjects that we studied during MBBS. Just so you know, for MBBS courses, no college gives direct placements or jobs.

Campus: What I like about my college is that even though its buildings are a little old because it's the 1st medical institute in Asia, everything is still kept very nice. For example, the lecture theatre is really well maintained. Also, the labs here are properly looked after. The library facilities are super good, and we even get Wi-Fi in the academic building.
