About PUC

Pachhunga University College, established in 1958 as Aijal College and located in Aizawl, Mizoram, is the only constituent college of Mizoram University and the oldest and largest in the state. Spread over 760 acres of lush green forest, it offers undergraduate courses in 23 subjects across Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, along with postgraduate programmes in Mizo, Philosophy and Life Science. Recognised as a College with Potential for Excellence by the UGC, it holds an A+ NAAC grade (CGPA 3.47), the highest in Northeast India, and is ranked 34th among Indian colleges by NIRF 2022. The institution is ISO 9001:2015 certified, a DBT Star College, and recipient of honours including the Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshamitra Award, Indira Gandhi NSS Award, and Platinum Green College Ranking.
