Admission: Admission path at RGIPT stayed smooth, beginning with a clear application, followed by well managed counselling, quick verification, and an orientation that provided useful insights.

Academic: The teachers at RGIPT are very qualified. A lot of them studied at famous foreign universities like University of Oklahoma. Especially for core subjects, the professors have tons of experience and many publications or patents. Their teaching is really good because they are so knowledgeable, so if you pay attention in class, you won't have many doubts. Our course curriculum is a good mix of studies and also makes us ready for jobs in the industry. Exams are split into mid-sem, which is 30 percent of your marks, and end-sem, which is 60 percent. The remaining 10 percent is for quizzes and assignments. The exams are not too hard; if you listen in classes, they will be very easy for you. The passing rate is also very high, around ninety-eight percent.

Placement: The placement scene at our institute is quite good. We have a main placement cell, and each department also has its own cell, all working together. They really help students settle into their careers after RGIPT. Many of our old students, the alumni, are working in big government companies (PSUs) at really high posts. Also, a lot of students go for higher studies in foreign universities, like some even make it to the University of Houston. Every year, about 85% of students get placed, and the remaining ones usually opt to study further.

Campus: RGIPT's campus is pretty nice overall. The academic blocks are fully air conditioned, with electric lecterns and projectors in every class. We have lots of labs too, all with really good equipment for practicals. There's even an incubation center with cool workshop machines. You won't go hungry here, as there's a night canteen open from 10 PM to 3 AM and another canteen open from 9 AM to 8 PM. For daily needs, we have a BOB bank with ATM, a bakery, a post office, and even a commercial complex on campus. One of the best things is that the campus also has a health center, a guest hostel, and a faculty building. Our hostels are built very well and are in good shape. Each room is big enough for two people, which is quite spacious. In C-block, rooms have attached washrooms, but other blocks have common washrooms that janitors clean daily. For sports, the hostels have courts for basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, and badminton outside. Inside, there's a snooker room, table tennis, a dance room, a music room, an FMC room, and separate gyms for boys and girls. Plus, there are three messes in the hostels that can feed a lot of students at once.

Admission: Approach taken by RGIPT for admissions felt well structured, with a user friendly registration portal, helpful counselling staff, timely fee and orientation updates, and a smooth transition into the institute.

Academic: Teachers here are really qualified, like they have PhDs from IITs and even from abroad. The curriculum we follow is exactly like IIT Kanpur's, so you know it's top-notch. For exams, we have both mid-semester and end-semester tests. These exams are quite tough, but getting good marks is not that difficult because of the relative marking system they use.

Placement: For our ECE batch, which was the first one to pass out in 2024, the teaching branches are still pretty new, so honestly, the placement numbers were not that great. However, some students did manage to get good offers from companies like Micron and Cadence. We also had a few students who did really well in the GATE exam, with impressive ranks like AIR 52 and AIR 76. Plus, students here get a chance for industrial training at HAL Korba, which is a good experience.

Campus: Our college has really good hostel facilities, and the mess food is also excellent, no complaints there. For our health, there's a center available, and students even get some money if they need to go to any hospital outside. About sports, the facilities are good, we have a football ground and courts for volleyball and basketball. Also, there's 24x7 Wi-Fi for everyone and all our classrooms are fully air-conditioned which is very helpful.

Admission: Selection journey at RGIPT felt straightforward, with smooth counselling after the merit list, efficient document verification, helpful staff during registration, and a quick onboarding process.

Academic: My teachers are very helpful and nice, and what's great is that all of them are PhD-qualified professors. Because of this, they teach their subjects really well. You'll also find many students working on cool stuff like green hydrogen projects here. As for the semester examinations, they are usually moderate, and the marking is quite fair.

Placement: Many big companies like ONGC, GAIL, and HAL come to our college for placements. This means our college is really good for getting jobs. Around 76% of students usually get placed. The highest salary package was 25 LPA, and even the lowest was 12 LPA, which is quite impressive. Lots of companies visit our campus.

Campus: What I like most about my college is definitely the infrastructure, it’s really good. We get good Wi-Fi connectivity and the labs are also very well-maintained. All the classrooms are set up nicely and have a good environment for studying. The teachers here are seriously the best. For sports, there are many opportunities for students to play and get involved. Also, our canteen is good because the food they serve is very tasty.

Admission: Progress through RGIPT admissions felt simple, as counselling instructions were clear, verification was well managed, registration ran smoothly, and orientation sessions supported new joiners well.

Academic: At our college, the teachers are really top-notch. All of them have PhDs and are super experienced and qualified, so the academics here are very strong. They're always ready to help students, not just with studies but also with other personal stuff, which is a great relief. For semester exams, they can be a mix of moderate to tough. But honestly, if you just do all your assignments and tutorials properly, you'll score well in the exams.

Placement: Overall, my college is a pretty good place to study. Placements are really strong for students in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, which is great. But, for IT branches, the placements are not that great right now, even though the studies are really good here. I'm hoping things improve for IT in the next couple of years. Many big companies come for placements, especially from the oil and gas industry like ONGC, Hal, and Indian Oil. The highest salary offered was 26 LPA, and on average, students get around 10 LPA. Our campus might be small, but it's very well-maintained, and the facilities are top-notch, so you feel good being there. Also, getting internships at top companies is quite possible here. So, while it's an excellent college, it's not quite the absolute best.

Campus: Our college campus has really good facilities for everyone. The library is awesome for students, with a great collection of books. All our labs are also right here on campus, which is convenient. For those in the hostel, the food in the mess is good. Also, the medical facilities here are excellent, which is a big plus. We have many games to play, and there's even a gym available on campus too.

Admission: Entry into RGIPT remained straightforward after JEE Advanced ranks, with smooth online registration, clear counselling instructions, helpful verification counter staff, and an orientation that explained initial procedures well.

Academic: The course structure here is really good, it helps us get ready for jobs. Our teachers are super qualified, many have done their PhDs from top places like IITs or even outside India, and they teach very nicely. Most students pass, which is good, but scoring really high grades like an A or A+ is a bit difficult.

Placement: From my experience, the placement numbers at our institute are quite good. The highest package someone got was 26 LPA, and the average salary offered was around 8 to 10 LPA. Students get to work in various roles such as Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Data Analyst, Case Whole Engineer, Reservoir Engineer, Drilling Engineer, and Production Engineer. Top companies like ONGC, Rystad Energy, Sunpetro, Selan, Oilmax, and HLS Asian visit for recruitment. Also, for internships, we have great options with companies like Halliburton, ONGC, Selan, Telesto Energy, MicroEnergy Credit, HLS Asian, and Essar.

Campus: In our college, we have really good facilities. We get Wi-Fi everywhere, whether it's in the classrooms or in our hostels, which makes it super easy to study or just chill. The labs here are very modern and top-notch, especially for drilling technology, production engineering, reservoir engineering, geology, well testing, and logging lab. Our library is open for a long time too, from 9 AM in the morning till 12 AM at night, so you can always find time to read. And for sports, there's a lot to pick from: we have volleyball, basketball, football, lawn tennis, badminton, table tennis, carrom, snooker, and cricket to keep us active.

Admission: Flow from counselling to joining stayed well managed, with all submission and registration dates followed strictly, timely updates at each stage, and a professional approach from the RGIPT team.

Academic: The course curriculum here is actually really good, above average for sure, and it totally fits the petroleum industry, which makes sure students are ready for jobs in that field. Our teachers are helpful and qualified, but honestly, not really as good as what you find in IITs, so because of this, the teaching quality is just average. Semester exams are quite tough, like above average difficulty, and the academic rules and regulations are super strict here. But even with all this, about 95% of students manage to pass, which is a good thing.

Placement: Okay so for Petroleum Engineering students, the placement rate is usually around 60 to 70% over the last four years. The highest salary someone got was 25 LPA from ONGC, while the lowest was 6 LPA, and the average is around 10 LPA. Many top companies visit us like ONGC, OIL, Sunpetro Chemical, Shell CPCL, Torrent Gas, and IOAGPL. Also, in the past three years, about 30% of students got private internships with companies like Selan Exploration, Telesto Energy, ExxonMobil, and Essar, which often turned into full-time jobs. The remaining students usually did their internships at PSUs like ONGC and OIL. The roles offered include Graduate Engineering Trainee, Assistant Executive Engineer for Drilling or Production, and Associate Engineer Process Data.

Campus: For RGIPT, labs and classrooms are really good, especially for petroleum courses. The hostel facilities and overall infra are also good here. Inside the hostel, rooms have plenty of space, and the mess food is actually above average. Plus, the canteen stays open super late, till 3 AM, which is nice. But, the Wi-Fi connection is just average, nothing great. And for sports and medical help, those facilities are not very good, actually below average.

Academic: Our college has a really good course curriculum. They keep updating it to fit what's new and trending, so it's always relevant. In my branch, there are only 59 students, which is pretty less. Because of this, you can easily reach out to the faculty directly if you're stuck with studies or anything else. They will definitely help you out.

Placement: In our college, since it's an energy institute, the Petroleum and Chemical branches are actually super good options. Their average salary packages are pretty high, I heard it's above 10 LPA. For the CSE students, placements are going on right now, and a lot of them have already gotten jobs, with the average package being 8 LPA. My own branch is IT, and our first batch will only pass out in 2025.

Campus: What I like is that our hostels are really good and brand new. They even give us washing machines and water coolers, which is super helpful. Overall, the college infrastructure is quite decent. The only problem is, lots of students are coming in now, so we face some issues. Like, the library feels small and there isn't much space for sports. This is because the campus is a bit small, only 47 acres for about 2000 students, so space is definitely limited.

Academic: Teachers are very well qualified and they help us a lot. Their way of teaching is really good. The course syllabus is totally relevant to current industry needs, which helps us get ready for jobs. Because the teaching quality is so high, our semester exams are quite hard, and scoring marks is not easy at all.

Placement: Our college had some really decent placements for the recent batch. This year, the highest package went up to 26 lakhs, with the lowest being 8 lakhs, and the average salary was 10 LPA. About 40% of students got placed, which is a good number. Top companies like GAIL, HPCL, and PhonePe hired students. What's cool is PhonePe came for the first time and offered really good packages. Plus, 60% of students also landed internships in companies like IOCL.

Campus: Starting with our college's facilities, everything is pretty good here. We have Wi-Fi available all across the campus, which is super useful. The classrooms are designed really nicely, and the labs are always well-kept with all the equipment in working condition. Our library is full of books, and they add new ones often. For hostels, there are blocks from A to H. The mess food is tasty, and there is a night canteen too for students who study late at night. Medical facilities are very good, with a health center right on campus and ambulance service for emergencies. We also have good sports and games facilities, but just remember there is no indoor court.

Admission: Application experience here felt straightforward, with an easy to navigate online portal, clear communication about deadlines and documents, timely merit list updates, and smoothly scheduled counselling that reduced stress throughout.

Academic: Our seniors are super helpful, especially with studies here. The teachers for each branch can be a bit different, depends on your department. We get weekly quizzes, and there's a really big library if you need to study or research. But honestly, it's mostly on us students to improve our own skills and make ourselves better.

Placement: Our college has really good placements for Chemical and Petroleum students, almost 98 or 99 percent get placed. To grab good companies like IOCL or PSU, you just need to keep your CPI score decent. If you don't get placed on campus, there's always off-campus options or you can try clearing exams like GATE and CAT. On the flip side, placements for tech branches aren't that great here.

Campus: The campus at our college is always kept super clean and neat. You'll also find a beautiful garden and a cool statue there. For sports, we have both outdoor and indoor games, and the college has really good facilities for them. Plus, we have two academic blocks, and literally every kind of lab you might need is available here.

Academic: The teachers here are good, and the teacher assistants and lab assistants also do a nice job. But, some of our main professors are not that skilled, which is a bit disappointing. For studies, the material they give us is good, and the semester exams are quite easy to pass. The biggest issue is that what we learn in class is not really ready for the industry; it's super hard to see how it connects to what companies want in a job.

Placement: About placements, they are decent here, not top-notch, but good companies like PhonePe, TCS, and Infosys do hire students. About 50% of students manage to get placed directly from campus. The highest salary package offered was 20 LPA, with the lowest being 3 LPA. Also, around 50% of us got internships, and students are placed in different roles, from junior to senior positions.

Campus: Our college provides 24-hour Wi-Fi that's generally good quality, though the speed is not always super fast. You get 15 hours access to the library every day. Classrooms here are pretty basic, and the labs are also quite simple, nothing too advanced. The canteen food isn't that great, but luckily, the mess food is good. We also have good sports facilities, and the best part is the college gives free medical treatment.
