Ramaiah Institute of Technology Scholarship FAQs

Can an MSRIT student get both the Ramaiah Memorial Scholarship and a government scholarship in the same year?

No. The Ramaiah Memorial Scholarship's general conditions rule out students already receiving another concession, scholarship, or fee reduction from the government or another body. A student has to pick one.

My CGPA dropped below 8.0 this year after receiving the Ramaiah Memorial Scholarship last year. Will I lose it next year?

Yes, continuation requires a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in the immediately completed year, scored in the first attempt, along with no attendance shortage and no disciplinary action. Falling short on any of these stops renewal.

What is the highest MSRIT scholarship amount a student can get under the Ramaiah Memorial Scholarship?

INR 50,000 is the highest amount, under the scheme for orphan students. Most other schemes cap out at INR 30,000-INR 40,000, depending on the course and criteria — for example, INR 40,000 for MBA (top slab), PG/doctoral programs, and national-level sports achievers, and INR 30,000 for most B.Tech, NEET/K-CET, and B.Com/BBA-category merit awards. A student can only claim one scholarship, so the amount depends on which scheme they qualify for and pick.
