Placement Process

The placement process at Sabarmati University is meticulously designed to ensure that students are well-prepared and can present themselves effectively to potential employers.

  1. Eligibility Criteria:
    • Students must obtain a minimum of 60% aggregate from senior secondary school onwards.
    • No backlogs are allowed in graduation or post-graduation programs.
    • Students are only eligible to participate in the placement drive if they meet the university's academic standards.
  2. One Student One Job Policy:
    • Category-A companies (offering CTC > Rs.4,00,000): Once a student is placed in a Category-A company, they are not allowed to participate in further placement drives.
    • Category-B companies (offering CTC between Rs.1.8 LPA to Rs.4 LPA).
    • Category-C companies (offering CTC up to Rs.1.8 LPA).
  3. Selection Process:
    • Step 1: Invitation to Companies Placement Cell invites companies based on the job profile, package, and past recruitment records.
    • Stage 2: Pre-Placement Discussions: Companies present for the purpose of conveying details about the nature of the job, prospects for progression, and compensation package.
    • Step 3: Aptitude Test/Group Discussion: Candidates selected on the basis of this recruitment process should be shortlisted who are required to go through an aptitude test or group discussion, as conducted by the company.
    • Step 4: Personal Interview: All the short-listed students are called for interviews, which may be technical, HR, and final rounds.
  4. Parallel Recruitment Procedures:
    • If two or more companies have parallel recruitment procedures, students must choose one company to continue with. They cannot switch companies once the process has advanced.
  5. Offer Letters:
    • The students who clear all the rounds of the interviews are given offer letters from the companies.
    • Finally, after a positive response, they must formally accept the offer by signing and returning the offer letter for confirmation of their employment.
  6. Post-Selection:
    • This placement cell enables a communication process between the selected students and the companies regarding joining dates, paperwork, other further requirements etc.

This process ensures that students secure the best possible opportunities based on their qualifications, skills, and the job market demands.
