Sonitpur Polytechnic is affiliated to the State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Assam. The SCTE, Assam, is a Council of members appointed by the Government of Assam to advise the government on all matters relating to Technical Education in the State. The Polytechnic obtained a Letter of Approval (LoA) from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on 30th April 2017 and commenced its academic activities in August 2017. To date, one batch of students has passed out from Sonitpur Polytechnic with flying colours.
