About UVCE Bangalore

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), a public technical institution in Bangalore, was established in 1917 by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Affiliated to Bangalore University and approved by AICTE, UVCE is recognized as the first engineering college in Karnataka and the fifth in India. The college currently enrolls over 3,300 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and architecture. UVCE received NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation (score 3.17) and was granted autonomous status in March 2022, modeled after the IITs. Its main campus is located at KR Circle, with a secondary campus at Jnana Bharathi spread over 50 acres.
