The cutoff data shows that CSE remained the most competitive branch at YCCE. The final closing percentile for CSE remained close to the 95 percentile mark. Information Technology also recorded strong competition and closed above 94 percentile in the final round. AI related branches like AIML and AI DS remained among the top demand programs. Civil Engineering recorded the lowest cutoff among the listed branches, indicating comparatively lower competition for admission.

YCCE JEE Main Cutoff 2026 (Expected)

All India quota seats are allotted based on JEE Main AIR. For YCCE admission in 2026, computer related branches are expected to have higher competition. Based on the state quota Round 2 figures released so far, the overall closing rank across categories was between 8705 and 30577, and the All India Quota closing rank has ranged from about 1.07 lakh to 4.9 lakh across earlier years, giving a useful baseline while Round 4 results are awaited.

Expected YCCE JEE Main Cutoff 2026

BTech Branch Expected Closing Rank
Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) 1.3 to 1.6 Lakh
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning 1.7 to 1.9 Lakh

YCCE MBA Cutoff 2026

MBA admissions at YCCE are conducted through MAH MBA CET scores followed by CAP counselling rounds. The Round 1 cutoff for 2026 has now been officially announced, and it closed at 75.05 percentile for the GOPENS category, notably higher than the 55 to 65 percentile band expected earlier. Later rounds are likely to see the cutoff soften, following the pattern seen in previous years.

YCCE MBA CET Cutoff 2026 (Updated)

Round Cutoff
Round 1 (Actual) 75.05 Percentile
Round 2 (Expected) 45 to 60 Percentile
Final Round (Expected) 30 to 40 Percentile

The Round 1 cutoff is the most competitive point in the process. The percentile generally drops during later rounds because of seat movement across institutes during CAP counselling. Students with scores above 60 percentile had strong admission chances during the initial round this year.

Previous Year MBA CET Cutoff Trends

Round 2025 Cutoff 2024 Cutoff 2023 Cutoff
Round 1 59.41% 64.85% 74.40%
Round 2 47.65% 55.21% 66.44%
Round 3 32.97% 52.23% 66.44%

The MBA cutoff trend had shown a noticeable decline in competition over recent years, though the 2026 Round 1 figure of 75.05 percentile marks a sharp reversal of that trend. Similar movement across later counselling rounds will become clearer once Round 2 and the final round are announced for 2026.

Category wise YCCE Cutoff Trends

The cutoff at YCCE changes significantly across categories and seat types. Reserved categories generally close at lower percentiles compared to the General Open category. TFWS seats usually remain the most competitive because of limited seat availability and tuition fee benefits.

Category Cutoff Trend
GOPENS Highest competition among open seats
GOBCS Lower cutoff than GOPENS
GSCS (SC) Comparatively lower cutoff, though still competitive for CSE and AIML
EWS Moderate competition across branches
TFWS Highest cutoff due to limited seats

The YCCE cutoff for SC category (GSCS) is meaningfully lower than GOPENS but still demanding for the top computer branches. In the most recent year with full category wise data, the GSCS category range for BTech admission was around 73 to 94 percentile overall, with CSE closing near 94.33 percentile and AIML near 92.98 percentile for GSCS candidates.

TFWS seats often close at higher percentiles than regular open seats because students receive tuition fee concessions under this category. EWS cutoffs fluctuate significantly depending on branch demand and seat allocation during CAP rounds. Students belonging to reserved categories may get admission at comparatively lower percentile ranges.

Factors Affecting YCCE Nagpur Cutoff

MHT CET Score: The MHT CET percentile is one of the main factors affecting the YCCE Nagpur cutoff. Students with higher percentiles generally have a better chance of getting their preferred course. YCCE also considers JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions.

Course Popularity: The demand for a particular course can affect its cutoff. Popular branches such as Computer Science and Engineering, IT and AI-related courses usually attract more students, leading to higher cutoffs.

Number of Available Seats: The number of seats available in a course can influence the closing cutoff. YCCE has different seat intakes across its B.Tech programmes, so courses with fewer seats may have more competition.

Category of the Candidate: YCCE Nagpur follows the reservation rules applicable to Maharashtra CAP admissions. Therefore, the cutoff can vary based on the candidate's category, such as Open, OBC, SC, ST and other reserved categories.

Counselling Round: The YCCE Nagpur cutoff can change from one CAP round to another. If seats remain vacant after an earlier round, the closing percentile may change in later rounds depending on student preferences and available seats.
