Great Lakes Chennai offers a two-year PGDM program, similar to an MBA, for students seeking to build a career in management. The institute also has a one-year PGPM course and a PGPM (Family Business & Entrepreneurship) program for students who want to become entrepreneurs or manage family businesses. Admission to the PGDM and PGPM programs is based on entrance exam scores.

GLIM Chennai admissions are based on valid CAT, GMAT, XAT or NMAT scores and meeting the minimum eligibility criteria. The admission process is conducted online through Great Lakes’ official website.

Application Process: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must fill out the online application form on the Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai website and pay an application fee of INR 2,000.

Selection Criteria: The institute shortlists candidates based on their XAT, CAT, GMAT or NMAT scores and relevant work experience. Shortlisted candidates must appear for a Personal Interview.

Final Seat Allotment: Candidates who clear the Personal Interview round and meet all requirements must report to the admission cell for document verification. They must pay the required fees to confirm their admission.

• Registration is online only via the official CAT portal.
• A valid and unique email ID and mobile number are mandatory to begin the registration process.
• Upon registration, candidates will receive a User ID and Password to log in and complete the application form.

Important Guidelines:

• Candidates can fill the form in multiple sessions — progress will be saved automatically.
• Double-check all details before paying the application fee, as no edits will be allowed after payment.

• SC/ST/PwD candidates must upload valid category certificates during registration. Category changes are not allowed post-registration.

Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai has different cutoff scores for PGPM and PGDM programs.
