GMAT 2025 Exam is currently underway. The application process is available year-round and can be completed online through the official GMAC website at mba.com. To fill out GMAT 2025 Application Form, candidates must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for the GMAT. The exam is available online and in test centre formats. The exam may be taken once every 16 days, up to five times in 12 months, and no more than eight times in a lifetime.

 

The exam evaluates applicants across three key sections: Quantitative ReasoningVerbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. Each section is timed for 45 minutes, and the total test duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes. GMAT 2025 is marked on a scale of 205 to 805, with correct answers adding 1 point to the score. GMAT 2025: Recent Changes in GMAT 2025

GMAT 2025 is now referred to as GMAT Focus Edition, which introduces some modifications compared to previous years’ exams. The focus areas of the changes include exam duration and a restructured syllabus. The more details on recent changes in GMAT 2025 are as follows:

  • GMAT 2025 Exam Duration has been reduced to 2 and 15 minutes from 3 and 7 minutes. 

  • The total number of questions has been reduced to 64 from 80

  • The score range has been modified from 200-800 to 205-805

  • GMAT 2025 includes three sections instead of four, including Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. The Analytical Writing and Integrated Reasoning sections have been removed from the GMAT Syllabus 2025

  • The Data Insights portion in GMAT 2025 exam will feature 20 questions on data sufficiency, graphic interpretation, and multi-source reasoning

  • From Quantitative ReasoningGeometry has been removed, and the primary focus is shifted towards algebra and arithmetic

  • From Verbal Reasoningsentence correction has been removed, and its primary focus is changed to assess candidates' reading comprehension and critical reasoning skills

 

GMAT 2025: Eligibility Criteria 

GMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 does not possess any strict academic or professional requirements. The exam is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old. To appear, no strict educational requirements are prescribed by GMAC. The detailed GMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025 are given below:

  • Age Limit: Candidates must be 18 years old to appear GMAT 2025 Exam. However, candidates aged between 13 and 17, need written permission from a parent or legal guardian to proceed with registration.
  • Educational Qualification: GMAC prescribes no educational qualification requirements for appearing for GMAT 2025. However, most test-takers aspire to enrol in an MBA or other business-related programs at the post-graduation level. So, candidates must have graduated from recognised institutes to apply for GMAT 2025 Exam. 
  • Work experience: Work experience is not mandatory for candidates to appear for GMAT 2025 Exam. But at the time of registration, candidates are asked about their prior working experience, but it is not compulsory. 
  • Retake policy: Candidates can appear for GMAT 2025 Exam once every 16 days and up to five times in 12 months. However, candidates must note that the lifetime limit to appear for GMAT is eight attempts

 

GMAT 2025: Application Process 

GMAT 2025 is an important gateway for offering admission into over 7,700 graduate business programs worldwide. According to the GMAC guidelines, candidates can book their slots six months before the exam date to get their preferred test dates, slots and exam centres. However, before booking slots, candidates must register through the official GMAT website by following some simple steps. The steps are as follows: 

  • Sign up: Candidates must create a GMAT account on the official website at www.mba.com
  • Filling information: After registration, candidates must fill in their personal information, such as name, address, academic qualification details, work details, and preferred test format. 
  • Exam date scheduling: In the following step, candidates must select exam dates, slots, and the exam centre location based on their preferences
  • Fees payment: After confirming the dates and exam centre, candidates have to pay INR 25,190 (USD 300) for the online GMAT format and INR 23,091 (USD 275) for the test-centre-based GMAT format. The fee can be paid through a credit card/debit card. 
  • Book the spots: Once fees are paid successfully, candidates will get a confirmation email with test dates, time, and centre details.

GMAT 2025: Online Vs Test Centres 

For GMAT 2025, candidates can take the exam at a test centre in their preferred locations or online from home. Both formats follow the same GMAT Focus Edition guidelines prescribed by GMAC, such as the scoring scale and section timings. However, there are a few key differences in scheduling flexibility, fee structure and resources. The online format requires technical and environmental requirements (stable internet, quiet room, and a webcam). In contrast, test centres provide a more controlled environment with the necessary resources. GMAT 2025: Booking Exam Dates 

Booking for GMAT Exam Dates 2025 depends on certain factors such as seat availability in centres, registration process, and scheduling. Candidates must consider these factors before booking exam dates. Explanation of these factors is as follows:

 

Year-Round Availability of Seats: Candidates can book their seats anytime since seats are available year-round. 

 

Registration Process: Registration typically starts 6 months in advance and can be done up to 24 hours before the exam. But, candidates are advised to register at least 2-3 months before their preferred exam date. 

 

Rescheduling and cancellation: GMAC allows candidates to reschedule or cancel their appointed GMAT Exam Dates. But it includes additional charges up to INR 15300. 

 

Retaking the exam: If candidates fail to clear GMAT Exam in the first attempt, they must wait 16 days to retake it. 

 

GMAT 2025: Slot Booking 

GMAT 2025 Slot Booking is conducted through the official registration portal. Candidates must choose between the online or test centre format and select a specific date, time, and location. However, candidates must note that some cities, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, may have extreme demands. In such a case, candidates are advised to book their exam dates 2-3 months before to confirm slots according to their preference.

GMAT Exam Pattern 2025 consists of three sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. A total of 64 questions to be completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes. GMAT Syllabus 2025 is divided into three main sections, which are further subdivided into subsections. For example, the Quantitative Reasoning section covers topics from algebra and arithmetic. Candidates can download GMAT Admit Card 2025 within 24-48 hours of the exam schedule appointment. It remains available for download seven days before the candidates’ exam date. GMAT Results 2025 is also known as GMAT Score Report. The official score report is typically available on the official website within 3 to 5 business days. GMAT scores remain valid for five years, and candidates can enrol in up to five programs using the score report for free within 48 hours of score release.
