IIM Trichy offers its flagship PGPM program in Management. The course duration is 2 years and is available in 8 specialisations. The other PGPM available at IIM Trichy is PGPM in Human Resources Management. Graduate candidates with a minimum grade of 50% and a valid CAT cutoff of the 95th percentile are eligible to apply for these programs. Admission to PGPM courses will be provided based on CAT + JAP 2026. However, GMAT scores are acceptable for overseas candidates. Apart from this, the institute also offers a PGDBM for executives, a PhD degree, and an executive PhD degree. All admissions to IIM Trichy are based on entrance exams. The course fee for the flagship PGPM / MBA course is INR 21 lakhs for Indian students.

IIM Trichy offers a full-time Postgraduate Program in Management as its flagship program. The course duration is two years. IIM Trichy’s PGPM program is the first IIM program accepted into the CFA University Recognition. The course covers a minimum of 70% of the CFA curriculum.

IIM Trichy admissions are based on candidates’ academic record, CAT performance, Personal Interview, Written Analysis Test, and relevant work experience.

IIM Trichy PGPM Admissions for Overseas Students:

• Candidates who are non-residents in India can apply under this category. Indian and foreign residents, living, studying, or working outside of India are overseas candidates.
• Candidates with a bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent, are eligible to apply.
• These candidates will be selected based on their GMAT scores, followed by a personal interview.
• The total program fee is $32,000.

IIM Trichy PGPBM Admissions 2026

IIM Trichy offers a PGPBM /MBA program for Working Executives with a duration of 21 months. The program provides convenient classroom slots on Saturdays and Sundays with 870 mandatory hours of learning. This course curriculum covers 21 core courses and 12 elective courses.

In the 2022-24 batch, there were 88% male students and 12% female students. Where, in the 2023-25 batch, there were 86% male and 14% female students.

• PGDBM applicants must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university.
• Students from SC/ST/EWS/PwD categories must have a minimum aggregate of 45%.
• Applicants will be required to appear for a written test and a personal interview for final admission.
• Candidates who have a valid CAT or GMAT score are exempt from the written test.

IIM Trichy Ph.D Admissions 2026

IIM Trichy offers a full-time PhD in management at the doctoral level. As financial support, candidates will get a 100% tuition fee and hostel room charges waiver. Research scholars will receive a monthly stipend of INR 35,000. The stipend will increase up to INR 37,000/- after the comprehensive exam and up to INR 40,000/- after the proposal defence.

• To apply for a PhD program, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or an integrated Master's degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
• Candidates with a professional degree, i.e., CA/ CS/ ICWA, can also apply for a PhD.
• A 5% mark relaxation is available for students from the SC/ ST/ and PwD categories.
• Admissions to PhD will be based on the national-level entrance examination.
• Applicants who have not appeared for any of these entrance exams will have to sit for the IIMB Test (Research Aptitude Exam). The IIMB test fee is INR 1200/-.

IIM Trichy also offers an Executive Ph.D program in Management. It is a non-residential program of 4-5 years. There will be 2 years (6 terms) of coursework. One physical visit to the campus is mandatory for each term. 70% of the coursework will be covered online, and 30% of the coursework will be covered offline. As a part of the curriculum, candidates must appear for the Comprehensive qualifying exam, and submit & defense the research paper and dissertation.

• To apply for the Executive PhD in Management, candidates must have at least 10 years of minimum work experience.
• Admissions will be based on the IIM Trichy selection process at the campus.
